Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has introduced a ton of new weapons for the Tarnished to acquire in the Realm of Shadow. While every weapon in the game can be made to work against the many threats spread around the Lands Between and the Land of Shadow, the same cannot be said for PvP. Ideally, players should be using weapons with a lot of speed and damage during PvP.

Deciding on the right weapon can be a little tricky. We've got you covered, though. This article will show you five of the best weapons for PvP in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

1) Death Knight's Twin Axes

The Death Knight's Twin Axes come with the Blinkbolt: Twinaxe skill. When used, this Ash of War turns the Tarnished into lightning and propels them forward. When you come back to human form, you can charge a heavy attack to perform a spinning attack with the axes. Thanks to the speed and range of this Ash of War, you can easily close distance with it in PvP.

Moreover, using this Ash of War is a great way of disrupting your enemies' attacks. All you have to do is use the Ash of War any time your opponent is making a move. You can pretty much spam it any time you need to get away from or close in on an enemy during PvP. This way most encounters will be a breeze to get through.

The Death Knight's Twin Axes can be acquired by defeating the Death Knight found inside Fog Rift Catacombs in Elden Ring.

2) Carian Thrusting Shield

It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that the Carian Thrusting Shield is one of the best new weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. You can use it to block and attack at the same time, making it extremely difficult for enemies in PvP to land any meaningful attacks on you.

Moreover, you can also use the Scholar's Shield Armament on this shield to further boost its damage negation. During PvP, all you have to do is turtle up behind the shield and you can poke your way to an easy victory in most encounters. The Carian Thrusting shield can be found in the Specimen Storehouse.

3) Backhand Blade

The Backhand Blade is one of the fastest weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. It already has a blazing-fast moveset, but what really sets this weapon apart is its Ash of War. The Blind Spot Ash of War allows you to leap right in front of your enemies' faces and deliver a deadly blow to them at extraordinary speeds.

Using this skill will make your character move extremely fast, and you can also use the left or right movement key to change the direction of your initial dash. If you can figure out the movement of this Ash of War, not much will be able to harm you in PvP. You on the other hand should be able to make short work of just about anyone. You can find this weapon near the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace.

4) Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword

The Ancient Metoric Ore Greatsword has a ton of damage potential and can even help you steamroll your way through PvP encounters. The strongest part about this weapon is also its Ash of War, White Light Charge. When used, this skill causes your character to charge in and thrust the sword at your enemies at a very high speed.

If your attack connects, you can give another input to cause an explosion of white light. If the full thing connects, you can easily deal 4-6K damage to your opponents with this weapon's Ash of War making it ideal for PvP encounters. This weapon can be found inside the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past.

5) Claws of Night

Claw Weapons are already some of the strongest ones in the game. However, the Claws of Night in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree are a class apart from the others. This weapon's Ash of War Scattershot Throw ejects the claws from the player's hands and launches them forward as projectiles. Since this weapon also has innate bleed buildup, you can use its Ash of War to get blood procs with ease.

This works even better in PvP since you can essentially spam your Ash of War and bleed your opponent dry without ever letting them get close. You can get this weapon by following Count Ymir's questline.
