Respawn releases various limited-time game modes in Apex Legends for a change of pace. These are mostly a part of something big, such as the Collection events. However, sometimes they are released as a standalone mode, but that solely depends on the game mode. Since most of these events feature a particular theme, they get reintroduced to players every year with a twist.

5 game modes/events you shouldn't miss in Apex Legends
1) Shadow Royale
Shadow Royale usually becomes available around the end of October. This limited-time Halloween mode features a night version of a particular map in this F2P title such as Olympus or Kings Canyon.
When the event is live, players can queue into the mode and play a normal BR match until they get eliminated. Once a player dies, they get to reborn as a ‘Shadow.” These Shadows are different from normal Legends and can only deal melee damage. After all non-Shadow/normal Legends of a team die, the team gets eliminated since the goal here is to win by defeating all opposing normal Legends.

2) Winter Express
Winter Express in Apex Legends is another event you shouldn’t miss. The mode becomes available at the end of every year as it's a holiday/Christmas event. The gameplay is fairly simple and a lot of fun when queuing with friends.
Every match features multiple rounds and three standard teams compete against each other to capture the train. Standing anywhere on the train allows that particular team to capture it. Once the train is completely captured or all opposing teams are eliminated, the team secures a point. The team to reach three points first wins the match.

3) Three Strikes
Three Strikes was first released along with the Post Malone collab event which brought several attractive skins. The game mode is highly chaotic, and those who like to fight continuously will love this event.
This is a standard battle royale mode with a simple twist. Every team gets three chances to avoid elimination. Once a team dies, they get revived after a short period with all the items they had. Moreover, revives only take around a second and knocked players cannot be killed (unless they fall off the map). Since the game mode is quite forgiving and fast-paced, it became one of the player-favorite events right after release.

4) April Fools
Another event you shouldn’t miss in Apex Legends is April Fools. Each year, Respawn releases new surprises for players, the most recent one allowed players to launch themselves in the air by shooting at the ground (similar to what players can do with EPG-1). Thus, Rampart became one of the most-picked characters while the event was live.
Besides this, the developers added several variants of Mozambique that functioned as R-99, Kraber, Hemlock, and Havoc.

5) Armed and Dangerous
Lastly, Armed and Dangerous is an exceptionally fun event/game mode you shouldn't miss in Apex Legends when it gets reintroduced. The mode has two variants: Standard and Evolved. Both feature shotguns and sniper rifles but players cannot use the Respawn Beacon in the latter variant.
Those who like to play with the two aforementioned weapon types shouldn't miss it. Moreover, this mode is great for players who want to brush up their sniper skills.
These events are a lot of fun to play and shouldn't be missed.
