EA Sports' FIFA franchise has always been the No. 01 choice of Football fanatics, Gamers, and and non-gamers alike. Every October, with the latest FIFA editions just released, there is always a buzz amongst this ever-growing community of Football Fans and Gamers.

The FIFA 18 release was no exception. Although the new release uses the Frostbite 3 Engine like its predecessor, there have been some significant changes and improvements in the gameplay.

Let's take a look at some dexterous techniques of scoring jaw-dropping freekicks in FIFA 18 that would making your opponent's bite the proverbial dust.

Driven Freekick

An easy-to-master and effective way of scoring from set-pieces, this kind of freekick can be taken by almost all the players. The most suitable area for using this technique would be just outside the penalty area.

Controls: LS (forward) + L1 / LB (Press and Hold) + Shoot

Aim: Near the center of the wall

This effective freekick technique would ensure that ball rolls beneath the wall as the players jump ambitiously to head the ball.

Curling Freekick

Players with good curve attribute are a basic requirement for this exquisite way of scoring from set-pieces. This technique would send the ball curling over the wall and into the net. Right-footed players on the right and left-footed on the left ensure perfect execution of a curling freekick.

Aim: At the near end of the Wall (adjacent to the goalkeeper's position)

Power: 1.5 - 3.0 bars (depending on the position)

Dipping Freekick:

The dipping freekick technique ensures that the ball dips back beneath the crossbar after a flight over the wall. This type of freekick shall be used when the positioning is near the penalty box. Players with a low curve and high freekick accuracy attributes are best suited for dipping the ball.

Trivela Freekick:

As exquisite as the name sound, the Trivela makes the best use of EA's in-game intelligent system to send the ball over and around the wall for an elegant goal. Using right-footed players on the left and left-footed ones on the right is the perfect choice for implementing this goalscoring technique. To start with, position the player in line with the ball and the outside of the ball as much as possible using the right analog stick.

Aim: Just outside the near post

Power: 1.5 - 2.0 bars (depends on the position)

Knuckleball Freekick:

Once feared by the goalkeeper's around the world, Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo was world-renowned for his knuckleball freekicks and shooting techniques. To master Portuguese's technique in the game one needs to look out for opportunities of long ranged set-pieces.
