5 fights you didn’t know were possible on WWE 2K17

WWE’s latest game, WWE 2K17, released on multiple platforms and allows gamers to wrestle with and against any wrestler from the entire WWE roster. Following the annual release of the 2K series, there are always some characters which gamers feel should have been in the game but are not present in it.

A good example of this is Kurt Angle and Batista, who are not present on 2K17 but are still liked by fans.

In such cases, the Community feature, which was added to the game by its creators, is used to create user generated wrestlers with their own unique characteristics and signature moves. The “Create a Wrestler” feature allows the development of popular personalities as wrestlers and then make them available to the Community for download.

The CAW feature has seen the in-ring debut of a varied set of characters that include the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, Gotham’s saviour Batman, Harambe, the White Bunny, and the list goes on.

There is an entire universe of Community-created characters that enables one to create exciting matchups with your own wrestlers. So theoretically, a match-up featuring Harambe against the Pokemon, Squirtle is possible in the game.

After our article listing the most unique CAWs in the game, we now list some of the most interesting and out of this world WWE matches that are possible on WWE 2K17 using the Community creation feature.

#1 Donald Trump vs Hilary Clinton

In what is likely to be the battle with highest stakes in the WWE, last year’s American Presidential election has been brought back to life in WWE 2K17. Similar to the story of the elections, Hilary Clinton goes into this battle with a huge advantage, given that her CAW has been given a rating of 100 compared to Donald Trump’s more modest rating in the 70s.

Hilary enters the match as a firm favourite with her host of in-ring abilities and higher overall rating. Donald Trump, the underdog challenger on the other hand boasts only two in-ring attributes of rope break and the largely ineffective stare down, compared to Hillary’s more qualified wrestling abilities.

Staying true to reality, Trump has also been given a mic skills rating of 100, making him a fighter to watch and listen to in the ring.

The video above features a bout between the two presidential candidates, which Hilary ends up winning for a change. She repeatedly slams the newly crowned POTUS on tables and he is also thrown outside the ring.

#2 Goku vs Vegeta

This matchup is likely to get any Dragonball Z fan’s heart racing. The two main characters of the Dragonball Z saga, Goku and Vegeta face off in a WWE ring in a no holds barred hardcore match at Summerslam.

The protagonist of the series, Goku comes in with an advantage as he is a light heavyweight fighter weighing in at 97 kgs with a height of 179 centimetres which is a little higher than Vegeta’s, giving him a better arm reach and resilience with his higher height and weight.

Just like the series, Goku ends up winning his fight against Vegeta after a hard fought struggle to achieve a victory for good over evil. As expected in a fight with wrestlers of such power, the fight is an intensely fought one and has an impressive ending with Goku “Powerbombing” Vegeta through a table and finishing him off with his signature move on the broken table, winning the match by pinfall.

#3 Batman vs Superman

The two titans of the superhero world, who recently faced off against one another in the recent Hollywood flick Batman vs Superman, continue their feud in the WWE ring after the Superman perished in the film while impaling Doomsday with a Kryptonite spear.

Batman enters the fight as a fearsome opponent, with an incredible seven in ring abilities that set him apart from his alien superhero opponent. The Superman Punch is obviously the weapon of choice for the man from Krypton while the Batman prefers a more earthly spear as his signature move along with attributes like brawl, ruthless aggression and resiliency which give him the ability to wear out opponents and finish them off.

The Kryptonite does not seem to have affected Superman’s fighting skills in the last man standing match but the Dark Knight’s cunning and clever style of fighting see him finish off the Superman with a five-star frog splash.

#2 Messi vs Ronaldo

It would have been a complete surprise if nobody in the WWE gamer’s community thought of putting the two leviathans of the footballing world together for a match in the WWE ring. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, whose fans are engaged in a permanent debate to prove their player the greatest of all time have yet another parameter to measure their favourite player’s greatness by.

While Messi enjoys a one Ballon d’Or lead over the Portuguese, in a no holds barred fight between the two, Ronaldo would be expected to enjoy a significant advantage over his diminutive Argentine opponent. Ronaldo would ve a formidable opponent given his immense physical attributes and strength while Messi, like on the football pitch is more likely to rely on his agility and quick feet to evade the Portuguese and launch quick combination counter attacks.

WWE 2k17 community creations has made custom players of the Real Madrid and Barcelona icons, and it is possible to put them in the ring up against one another to finally prove who is the best of them all. The above-featured matchup’s end sees Messi facing up to Cristiano Ronaldo who is on his knees and is then slammed to the floor by the Argentine, who uses his signature move to win the match by pinfall.

The two jewels of Manchester United without whom we can only imagine where the Red Devils would be in the Premier League table. Ibrahimovic's 15 goals in the Premier League have ensured United remain in the hunt for a top-four finish.

The two giants stride the football pitch like they own every inch of it and the same self-assurance and substantiated arrogance is on display when they enter the WWE ring. A fight between the two would be quite a spectacle especially after seeing the passion displayed on the pitch by both footballers.

The two footballers are physically imposing who dominate the field with a combination of cleverness and physicality and are expected to do the same in the ring. The sample match above shows the 35-year old Ibrahimovic being outfought by the Frenchman who pins Ibrahimovic to the ground to finish the bout.
