Mistakes you should avoid while playing Jade in Honkai Star Rail
1) Building Jade incorrectly
The most common mistake players make is to build characters incorrectly. In this case, Jade requires CRIT stats and ATK to deal a ridiculous amount of damage. Building Jade in Honkai Star Rail is quite simple since all you need is Relic pieces with CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG.
It is recommended that you take a look at the stats that Jade can benefit from, or you might end up wasting your Trailblaze Power. Since Jade is a new character in this game, many are likely to make this mistake. If you are wondering how you should build her, check out our detailed Jade build guide.
2) Placing Jade in the wrong team compositions
Another mistake you should avoid is placing Jade in the wrong team compositions. A character's potential can only be fully unleashed and boosted when they are placed in a good team composition. Hence, make sure you place Jade in team compositions that have good synergy with her.
As you may know, Jade’s primary source of damage is her follow-up attacks, which means she will be performing the best when placed in a team excelling in unleashing follow-up attacks.
3) Only investing in a single stat
A mistake you should never make while playing Jade in Honkai Star Rail is to invest in a single stat. Since you will get the stats from Relics and Planar Ornament sets that you need to farm with Trailblaze Power, investing in a single stat means you are wasting it. While aiming for a high number just for a single stat can look good theoretically, practically it has the opposite effect.
While you can achieve 250-300% CRIT DMG or any useful stat with an abnormal number, Jade’s damage will not be consistent. This is a problem because you'll need to deal damage constantly in various end-game activities.
4) Pairing Jade with the wrong characters
While Trailblazers can be seen pairing Jade with the wrong characters, it is one of the mistakes you should avoid in Honkai Star Rail. Characters who have little to no synergy can hinder Jade’s movement in a fight and won’t let her move independently. This problem can make her deal substandard damage to her opponents.
While you may think pairing Jade with two Harmony characters is a good choice, it is not. Doing so will only result in her performing poorly.
5) Utilizing Jade’s abilities properly
If you haven’t made any of the abovementioned mistakes, then you are just one step away from being the perfect Jade player in Honkai Star Rail. Utilizing Jade’s abilities is quite important and requires quite a bit of knowledge/understanding of her abilities. Since her abilities require one of her allies to hit opponents to unleash her follow-up attacks.
Moreover, since her ultimate ability enhances her follow-up attacks, you should always activate it just before Jade attacks her opponents. If you keep all of the information regarding Jade’s kit in mind while fighting, then you will be able to dish out an absurd amount of damage in battle.
