In the current season of Apex Legends, there are a total of 26 characters, each belonging to different classes and specializing in specific roles. The game's meta heavily influences their pick rates, leading to some Legends being more popular than others. However, while some high-pick-rate characters sit on top of the list, their abilities may seem underwhelming compared to other Legends.
With that said, let's take a look at the most overrated characters in Apex Legends Season 22.

Who are the most overrated characters in Apex Legends Season 22?
1) Wraith
Wraith, one of the Legends available since the launch of Apex Legends, is often considered overrated. As a Skirmisher, she can be a little useful while fighting in various scenarios but when players do not have her Portal. In critical moments, she can only phase out alone, leaving her teammates behind in the fight.
Looking at the current Legend roster, there are a good number of characters that players can play with whose abilities are more useful than Wraith.
2) Bangalore
Another Legend that is quite overrated is Bangalore. The recent nerf to her smoke, which now highlights players within a certain radius is now quite insignificant, especially in end-game circles. Previously, players used Bangalore's smokes to cover themselves off with it, giving the enemies a hard time locating their location, but after this nerf, this use of the smoke is worthless.
Simply looking at the pick rate of Bangalore in Apex Legends, she is definitely one of the most overrated characters, as her pick rate is still quite up in the charts after getting nerfed to the ground.
3) Revenant
After the rework, Revenant is most definitely an overrated character in Apex Legends. While his abilities are quite useful and can save players from various situations, several skirmishers are much better than him. One of the prime examples is Pathfinder.
Just because Revenant can gain a bonus 75 shield by triggering his ultimate, which can be refreshed after he secures a knockdown, he is the most over-picked character. His kit has remained unchanged for several seasons, which means he will likely retain the most overrated character spot in Apex Legends.
4) Bloodhound
Similar to Wraith, Bloodhound is one of the characters who was first introduced with the global launch of Apex Legends. Bloodhound has been a unique character because of his abilities. He can scan his surroundings with his skill and can gain a speed boost when he is in his ultimate.
In season 22, Bloodhound is still an over-picked Legend and was also recently nerfed. The nerf took away Bloodhound’s enemy highlight feature whenever he activates his ultimate. However, after the nerf Bloodhound’s pick rate did not go down by a significant amount making him one of the overrated characters.
5) Octane
Lastly, Octane is another character who is overrated in Apex Legends. His kit consists of a Stim and a Launch Pad. The Stim makes him run faster for a bit but costs him his health while the Launch Pad is just a getaway ability. Currently, multiple Skirmishers are better than Octane and have a lower pick rate than him.
Octane’s kit is mostly curated for himself and his allies do not get any benefits from it. Having said that, there is a high chance that Octane’s abilities will not be any help to his allies making him a selfish Skirmisher which justifies why he is an overrated Legend.
