The PS2 is considered one of the best gaming consoles ever made. It has sold more than 158 million units and has 4,000 games, making it the console with the largest gaming library to date. While this large library for the PS2 is amazing to have, it's difficult to play these games as they are not as widely available as one would like to think.
Recently, rumors have been circulating that the PlayStation Plus Deluxe tier is going to get more PS2 games in the future because Sony has finally built a better emulator. The Deluxe tier has struggled to add games from the PS2 library because of emulator issues, which is why PSP versions are used instead.
Whether this rumor is true or not is a different subject, but if it is true, there are various PS2 classics that we would like to play on our PS5 through a PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription. Here are five PS2 games we would like to see arrive on the PlayStation Deluxe tier.

These PS2 classics will bring life to PlayStation Plus Deluxe Tier
1) God of War
The first ever God of War was released for the PS2 in 2005, and it started a franchise that the community loves. While today's generation has experienced God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarok on their PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, they are not familiar with Kratos's dark past in Greece. Experiencing the first God of War on the PS5 will be epic in its own right.
While the PS3 version of God of War is available on PS Plus to stream, this option is not available in all the regions around the world, which means it can be streamed only in selected countries. Adding the native PS2 version will let everyone experience the original God of War on their PS5 without any region-related issues.
2) God of War 2
God of War 2 was released exclusively for the PS2 even though the PS3 was out at that time. This game saw Kratos seeking revenge on his father Zeus by seeking the help of the Sisters of Fate.
Die-hard fans remember his quest for revenge even today, but the current generation is not familiar with it. Adding the native PS2 version of this sequel will bring in more fans to the PS Plus Deluxe subscription.
3) SSX Tricky
SSX is a franchise that started during the PS2 era and ended its run on the PS3 generation. The franchise was loved for its exciting soundtrack and fun snowboarding gameplay. There are not a lot of snowboarding games in the market, which is why SSX was a series that connected with people. The best game in the franchise was SSX Tricky, which is our pick for the PS Plus Deluxe subscription.
SSX Tricky was the most fun game in the franchise and the gameplay still holds up to this day. The multiplayer mode lets you snowboard across different maps with your friends. The campaign is also a fun experience that helps unlock new boards, characters, maps, and much more. Pulling off tricks is always cool in SSX Tricky, and it will be a fun addition to the subscription.
4) Burnout 3: Takedown
Burnout was a beloved racing franchise during the early 2000s before it died off mysteriously. Not only were these racing games fun to play, but they introduced unique game modes to stand out among the competition. Burnout 3: Takedown was one of the most successful installments in the franchise from the PS2 era. It had a unique visual presentation for its time and a banger soundtrack.
Burnout 3: Takedown also had an online mode that was rare to see in PS2 titles at the time. Modes like Crash Mode, which encouraged the players to cause as much destruction as possible, made the game feel unique in a competitive market. Adding Burnout 3: Takedown will bring the long-time fans back for the PS Plus Deluxe tier.
5) Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill is another franchise from the PS2 era that has been dead for a long time. While Konami has tried to revive it a few times, the attempts have ultimately failed. Silent Hill 2 is considered one of the best survival horror games ever made, which is why it is also getting a remake soon.
While The Silent Hill 2 Remake will provide new players with modern controls and enhanced visuals, they should try the original title first. Silent Hill 2 from 2001 does atmospheric horror the best with creepy environments and unique enemy designs, which makes us think that it will be the perfect addition to PS Plus Deluxe before the remake comes out.
