Here are five reasons to be excited about Flintlock The Siege of Dawn
1) Guns against the Gods
The Gods have invaded and are trying to take down the world. However, the humans inhabiting this world are not ready to go down without a fight. This is especially true for our protagonist, Nor Vanek. She is equipped with all kinds of guns and explosives, and from what we've seen so far, Nor does not shy away from blowing her enemies to pieces.
Humans fighting for survival against the Gods using one of mankind's most lethal inventions? At a single glance, Flintlock The Siege of Dawn seems like an excellent setting for a video game, and that alone is reason enough to be excited.
2) Fun Traversal
Since this is a soulslite and not a soulslike, it gives the players a ton of maneuverability. The protagonist, Nor Vanek can dodge, jump, slide down hills, and even soar through the sky using her magical fox companion. There is also a mechanic known as the powder jump that allows Nor Vanek to stay afloat after a jump.
You don't just have a ton of maneuverability while exploring the world of Kian, but can also move around freely during combat. You can jump away from your enemies and fling a grenade at them on the way down. This is just one of many examples of how Flintlock's maneuverability makes the game even more exciting and fun.
3) Tons of combat options
Flintlock The Siege of Dawn offers a ton of different options for combat. Nor Vanek can use her magical fox to deal damage with powerful spells. The protagonist is also equipped with melee weapons, including swords and axes, which will be used for the main part of your attacks. Finally, Nor Vanek has access to guns, both big and small, to help her deal with almost any threat.
So that gives us three basic weapons, melee, pistols, and secondary firearms like grenade launchers and rifles. Of course, just because you have guns doesn't mean you can pump anyone full of lead. Your guns must be charged before they're ready to shoot. Pistols are charged by landing melee attacks, while secondary firearms can only be charged by resting.
So, Flintlock has a ton of options, and the fact that some need to be recharged adds a layer of difficulty and complexity to the combat.

4) Magical Fox, Enki
During your journey in Flintlock The Siege of Dawn, you'll be accompanied by Enki. Now, Enki is a God and seems to be an excellent partner for our fight against fellow deities. They have tons of knowledge to impart to the player and will often tell stories about the Gods who are invading the world of Kian. That's not all, Enki also plays a huge part in combat and fights alongside Nor Vanek.
Between their wisdom and ability to help Nor Vanek in combat, Enki is like a mixture of Mimir and Atreus from God of War. It is sure exciting to be going on an adventure with a magical fox.
5) Boss design
As mentioned above, Flintlock the Siege of Dawn is a soulslite, which means you can expect fascinating boss designs. It only helps that players will face the Gods, who boast massive potential in terms of design. We've already seen a three-armed boss in the trailers.
If that first is any indication of what this title has in store, then some very cool boss encounters are to be expected.
