T Kandyba is nowhere close to a candy bar, but it is quite a comic name for the Sri Lankan cricket Thilina Kandamby. A specialist middle-order batsman, he was also the limited over captain for Sri Lanka.

Kandamby was very successful in domestic cricket and performed well as the captain of U-19 Sri Lankan team which toured Australia, where he won the Man of the Series award. Though he was seen as a promising talent in early days, he failed to perform in international cricket and was dropped out soon.
