Few basic tips to help beginners in Spectre Divide
1) ADS in almost every gunfight
Due to being an FPS title, Spectre Divide's core gameplay revolves mainly around its gunplay. The game as a whole already takes heavy inspiration from the more reputed titles like Riot Games' Valorant and Valve's Counter-Strike. This also applies to its weapons as players can see a good variety of weapon options to choose from.
That said, where Spectre Divide differs is in its weapon's ADS (Aim down sights). Bullets shot using the ADS are extremely accurate in both close and long-range in this game. In fact, it is encouraged for players to fight their duels by looking through their optics as hip fire can be a bit of a hit or a miss and lead to frustrating gunfights.
2) Keep your other self safe
As mentioned previously, the game takes heavy inspiration from other FPS titles like Valorant and Counter-Strike. All the characters in this game have their own abilities which can be purchased in the armory and used during the round. That said, the most unique aspect of this tactical shooter is the fact that each player gets to control two bodies wherein they will have to switch between the two.
This means that each set of utility and weapons is also doubled. Players also essentially have two lives to play a round with. To be able to use both of them properly, players need to make sure to keep their other selves inactive in a safe spot as enemies can easily take them down if spotted. Having two lives can be extremely crucial during post-plant scenarios or for even just taking duels.
3) Check your surroundings properly
Spectre Divide offers many spots in the game's maps where the second bodies (or namely Spectres) can be placed on higher locations with boxes, ledges, etc. These are very useful as they can help traverse quickly through the maps, detect the opponent's location, and even take them by surprise.
Keeping an eye for such locations could end up becoming quite beneficial for the later part of a round. For example, on the attacking side, a player can place their Spectre in a somewhat middle area of the map to detect enemies that might be rotating from one site to another.
4) The Zeus auto plant
This game's main mode is Search and Destroy wherein one team will plant the bomb in either of the sites whereas the other team will try to prevent or defuse the bomb. In Spectre Divide, this bomb is termed Zeus.
A neat feature of this game is that the Zeus can be planted in a very different manner. A player can use his active body to start planting the Zeus on site and then switch to the second body. However, switching bodies won't stop the planting process meaning the Zeus will essentially get auto planted. This is most helpful if players end up in a clutch situation against the opponents as they can hold angles with one body while the other just plants the Zeus.
5) Fast recall zone
Mountaintop's tactical shooter offers many unique zones on their maps. These are usually highlighted by the color green and can be spotted on the mini-map as well. What these offer is the ability to recall your Spectre at a much faster speed than normal to that particular zone.
These zones can be very useful to quickly relocate your Spectre without any trouble. They can also be very useful to get your other self out of danger if they have been spotted. Working toward controlling these zones could end up being quite helpful for the latter half of a round.
