5 streamers who accidentally started livestreaming
5) xQc
Twitch superstar and Kick livestreamer Félix "xQc" made headlines when he unknowingly went live on Twitch and leaked his private call. During the call, he was heard giving his older home address. Upon receiving a text-to-speech message, he realized he had gone live, promptly shut the stream, and deleted the VOD.
The stream's video has since been uploaded to YouTube and shows his apparent confusion, with him exclaiming:
"Oh my god, oh my... did I go live by accident?"
Of course, the stream had already been clipped by then, and the address had been leaked. In a chat message, xQc explained his side of the story and how the incident came to be:
4) TommyInnit
Thomas "TommyInnit" is known for his Minecraft streams and engaging YouTube content. He was the victim of a hilarious error after accidentally livestreaming on Twitch, wherein he started watching an IShowSpeed video. The 19-year-old hosted the stream for three minutes, unaware that his channel moderators were sending numerous messages to inform him of what was happening.
Blissfully unaware of the situation, TommyInnit could be heard watching the video until he received a message on Discord from one of his moderators, after which he burst out laughing.
In the video, he can be heard stating how he had never done anything like this before and how amusing the situation was to him.
3) Hafthorjulius
Hafthor "Hafthorjulius" is a professional strongman and actor known for his role as The Mountain in the hit series Game of Thrones. He takes up livestreaming quite regularly on Twitch, with most of his streams falling under the Just Chatting category.
Hafthor ended up inadvertently going live on Twitch, thanks to his son. In the Twitch clip, Hafthor's son can be seen seemingly starting the livestream by himself, after which he proceeds to try to eat the microphone that is in front of him. Upon realizing what his son was doing, the actor laughed and ended the stream.
2) Ludwig
Ludwig nearly had a career-impacting moment when accidentally livestreaming. For context, the popular streamer signed an exclusive livestreaming contract with YouTube in 2021. He accidentally started broadcasting using his friend and fellow streamer ConnorEatsPants' channel.
In fact, ConnorEatsPants' had used Ludwig's setup for his own stream and probably left the livestreaming key on Ludwig's broadcasting software. Trying to make light of the situation, Ludwig meant to call out Twitch but ended up mixing up the platforms and hilariously uttering:
"F*** YouTube! Sh*t! Oh my God! F*** Twitch, I meant to say!"
1) CrankGameplays
Ethan "CrankGameplays" managed to make the honest mistake of livestreaming by accident on Twitch while thinking he was recording a video of himself playing Five Night at Freddy's. The American YouTuber and streamer couldn't hold back his laughter as the situation unfolded.
In the video, he can be seen enacting his classic intro and stopping as he grasps an understanding of the situation. He explained how he got confused between the Stream and Record buttons, as they look exactly the same and are placed next to each other.
