Guardians of the Galaxy, released in 2021, is one of the most underrated superhero games in recent memory. It was developed by Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series. Even though fans appreciated the action-packed gameplay and interesting characters, many quickly forgot about it, which is a shame as this title is fantastic.
The game features an interesting storyline about the Guardians saving the universe from Raker while learning to work as a team through their journey. Even though a sequel hasn't been announced by Square Enix over the years, fans still hope to see an official announcement soon. The first game was almost perfect, but that doesn't mean we don't want to see new additions if the sequel happens.
Here are five things we'd like to see from a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel.

We want to see these 5 things in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel
1) New outfits for the Guardians
The first game featured unique outfits you could use for the Guardians by finding them across the game hidden in various locations. When collected, you would unlock a unique outfit for a specific Guardian with some of them being from the live-action film and comics. While these outfits were awesome, we'd like more in the next entry.
2) Playable guardians
In Guardians of the Galaxy, we could only play as Star-Lord and weren't given full control over any other Guardian. However, through specific buttons tied to each member, we could still use four special abilities for them, which would recharge over time. In the next game, we'd love to play as the other Guardians with each character having their unique fighting style.
3) Playable Adam Warlock
Adam Warlock is an extremely powerful character in the Marvel Universe. He becomes a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy by the end of the game after the team defeats Magnus once and for all. It would be great to see him as a playable character like Star-Lord with his unique fighting style and moveset instead of using him as a side character with four special abilities.
4) Introducing the Avengers
The first game in one of its sequences mentions the existence of the Avengers on planet Earth. This confirms that these characters exist in the same universe as the Avengers, which could lead to a crossover. While asking for the entire team to show up in the next game is a stretch, we would still like to see a cameo by the Earth's mightiest superheroes in the next Guardians of the Galaxy game in some capacity.
5) More dialogue options
The first game featured plenty of dialogue options that either changed the game's direction or influenced your relationship with another Guardian. This mechanic was heavily used to build connections and add a layer of decision making, which the players loved. We would love to see this ability to make a comeback in the next game with an even deeper implementation in the story.
