Infamous Second Son is deemed one of the best superhero games of all time by many players in the gaming community. The title was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in 2014 and since then has captivated many fans of the superhero genre. Infamous Second Son puts you in the shoes of Delsin Rowe, a regular citizen who doesn't appreciate taking responsibilities and life seriously until an accident grants him superpowers.

From here, he decides whether he wants to be a superhero or supervillain by choosing between right and wrong. As you play through this action-adventure game, you will gain various abilities like gaining control over neon and video to your advantage. Sucker Punch Productions since the release of Infamous Second Son has released a spin-off which is a smaller experience compared to the original game. Since then we haven't heard of a new Infamous game in the works, and with the game hitting its 10th anniversary this month, the players are wondering about a sequel.

However, if a sequel does manage to pop up in the future, here are five things that we would like to see in the Infamous Second Son sequel.

These are five things that we would like to see in the Infamous Second Son sequel

1) Diverse and dynamic open world

The first game was set in Seattle and had a map that never felt too exhausting to traverse. However, the game hardly featured any side content except for some collectibles and spray paint locations, making the city feel empty. In the sequel, players would like to see a city with more open-world events like side quests and outpost clear-out missions to make the city fun to explore after the main story.

2) Better graphics

Since the game was released at the start of the generation, it shows its age when compared to current games. However, it was one of the best-looking games at the time as it showed the power of the PlayStation 4. For the sequel, Sucker Punch Productions and go a step further and make sure the game is graphically impressive and has features like ray tracing and destructible environments.

3) Locked 60 FPS

60 FPS has become the new standard for today's console games, but this wasn't the case in the early days. The first game was locked to 30 FPS on the PlayStation 4 and was later given a next-gen patch to run at 60 FPS on the PlayStation 5. In the next Infamous sequel, we would like to see a locked 60 FPS to feel the smoothness of the gameplay. If Spider-Man 2 can do it, then Infamous can too.

4) Multiplayer or co-op mode

Infamous Second Son was a single-player game from start to finish with no multiplayer components attached to it whatsoever. However, this doesn't mean that the sequel cannot feature a fully fleshed multiplayer mode when it comes out. It can include different characters from the main game fighting each other using the powers we inhabit through the main story. Hopefully, without microtransactions.

5) More emphasis on choices

Infamous Second Son allowed the players to be either heroes or villains, depending on the choices they made during their playthrough. However, this choice mechanic was strictly tied to the main story missions, as what you did outside the story changed very little in your public status. In the sequel, we would love to see a deeper integration of the system in side quests and open-world.
