Life is Strange Double Exposure will be released on October 29, 2024, and the community is excited as it brings back our favorite protagonist from the first game, Max Caufield. For the first time in the franchise's history, we'll get to play the protagonist we've played before in a previous entry. This title was revealed at the Xbox Showcase in June 2024, along with other games like Doom The Dark Ages and Gears of War: E-Day.

Life is Strange is known for its narrative-focused approach, which heavily leans on the idea of players choosing their character's path. The game presents various choices during essential moments in the story, which changes how the narrative plays out. With Double Exposure coming out in October this year, the community is excited to play as Max again.

However, with the series getting this new entry in a few months, here are five things we would like to see in Life is Strange Double Exposure.

Note: This list is subjective, reflects the writer's opinions, and is not in any particular order.

In the previous entries of the Life is Strange franchise, we were allowed to choose how the story moves forward by being presented with choices that can change the narrative's direction. However, with this new entry, we would like stronger control over the narrative by having more choices that can heavily influence the story.

In the first Life is Strange game, the ending presents us with two choices: sacrifice Chloe or Arcadia Bay. These choices gave the players quite a different ending depending on the choice they made. With Life is Strange Double Exposure being a direct sequel to the first game, we would like to know which ending is canon.

3) More LGBTQ representation

Life is Strange games have always proudly supported the LGBTQ community by featuring gay and lesbian characters. However, this representation has always been through side characters and is quite minimal in the main protagonists. In Life is Strange Double Exposure, we would like to see the LGBTQ characters in the series have a bigger role and even have a relationship with Max for better representation.

4) An Arcadia Bay flashback

The first Life is Strange was set in Arcadia Bay, where all the events of the game took place. Max Claufield is heavily attached to the place due to everything that she went through there. In the upcoming sequel, we would like to see a flashback where she visits her past to explore Arcadia Bay and even gets to meet some familiar residents like Chloe's mom and Nathan Prescott.

5) A deeper exploration of her powers

Life is Strange Double Exposure introduces a new touch to Max Claufield's powers, giving her the ability to now explore two timelines. In the first game, she had the power to reverse time, but this new power allows her to explore two different timelines. When the game comes out, we would like a deeper exploration of her powers work and what has changed since the first game.
