Uncharted has been a popular franchise for Naughty Dog, which ended its run in 2017 with a spin-off called Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The latter was a smaller adventure when compared to the earlier games and even had a female protagonist for the first time in the franchise. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy had you playing as Chloe Frazer, a character players had seen in Uncharted 2 and 3 along with a side character Nadine who tags along for the adventure.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is set in India, and our duo is trying to find the Tusk of Ganesh, an ancient artifact connected to the Hoysala empire. However, the search doesn't prove easy, as Asav, an ex-military man, is also on the hunt for the artifact. He has with him a team of mercenaries. The plot is rather interesting and one would have thought there would be more such spin-offs from the franchise.

However, this title marked the end of the franchise, with no new games released since 2017. While there are no leaks or rumors about a new entry coming out, here are 5 things we would like to see from another Uncharted spin-off game if it happens in the future.

These are 5 things we would like to see in the next Uncharted spin-off game

1) A Sully and Sam game

As the fourth game ends, we get to see an interaction between Sully and Sam about a deal Sully was working on. This interaction even made the gaming community believe that the next title would feature them as playable characters instead of Nathan. If another spin-off happens in the future, we would like to see Sam and Sully as protagonists working together on this deal.

2) New weapons

The franchise has featured the same weapons since the beginning and has added only a few new ones per entry. While every entry improves the handling of the weapons and gunplay, the arsenal remains the same, with pretty much no room for surprises. In the next spin-off, we would like to see the addition of a new arsenal with better weapons and the ability to craft mods to make them stronger.

3) New multiplayer mode

The multiplayer mode in Uncharted 4 is slowly losing its playerbase because of hackers ruining matches by shooting players through walls and sniping players from out-of-bound areas. If a spin-off releases in the future, it should introduce a polished multiplayer mode that brings back popular match types while also ensuring the ban of hackers ruining the fun for others.

4) Nathan Drake's cameo

Even though the fourth installment in the franchise ended Nathan's arc beautifully for the best, we still would like to have a glimpse of the character in the spin-off. This can be done by adding Nathan's cameo through a flashback sequence. That being said, him in a playable chapter can bring back long-time fans of the franchise. This might also help in developing the connection between Sam and Nathan a bit more.

5) A longer adventure

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy had a shorter campaign when compared to the main-line games. While this was because the game was a spin-off, we would still like to see a longer adventure for Sam and Sully. Lost Legacy was just 9 chapters long, making it the shortest game in the franchise, which means the next spin-off should be around 18 chapters long.
