Uncharted Drake's Fortune was arguably the biggest project for Naughty Dog. Before this release, the developer's popular franchises were the Jak and Daxter games. The first Uncharted title's success was a crucial point for the studio, as it would leave Jak and Daxter in the past to adapt more mature storytelling experiences like Uncharted and The Last of Us.
Uncharted Drake's Fortune was a great action-adventure game of its time, giving players a video game version of Indiana Jones in Nathan Drake. However, the title is looked down upon today because of its outdated graphics and clunky controls.
While there are no new rumors or leaks about a remake of the first Uncharted game, this article lists five things we want to see if it happens.

5 things that we would like to see in an Uncharted Drake's Fortune remake
1) Upgraded graphics
Uncharted Drake's Fortune looked amazing for its time as it flaunted the capabilities of the PlayStation 3. The game was praised for its lush green environments and detailed character models.
However, the title doesn't hold up graphically all these years later. This is why we would love to see the remake upgrade its graphics to match the standards of modern-day gaming.
2) Return of Nolan North
Nolan North is the voice actor and the motion capture artist for Nathan Drake. The way he injects his charm and charisma into the character is part of what makes Uncharted Drake's Fortune special.
Players have always loved to see Nolan North play Nathan Drake, so it would be great to see him return in the role for the remake.
3) Better control mechanics
Even though the controls in all the Uncharted games have largely remained the same, the first game seems rougher to play today. It's hard to control Nathan and take him where you want him to go. This can be frustrating at times, especially when you are trying to take cover while playing on higher difficulties.
In the remake, the addition of control mechanics similar to that of Uncharted 4 would be great for more fluidity in Nathan's movements.
4) A multiplayer mode
Every mainline Uncharted game except for Drake's Fortune had a multiplayer component attached to it. This mode was popular during the early days of Uncharted 2 and 3 because of its emphasis on Team Deathmatches and co-op play.
In the remake, we would like to see a multiplayer mode for fans to enjoy.
5) Retaining the Brutal mode
The Brutal mode was a special difficulty setting added to the Nathan Drake collection for the Uncharted trilogy. This difficulty was harder than Crushing and was only present in the remasters. The Legacy of Thieves collection did not receive this difficulty either.
It would be great to see the Uncharted Drake's Fortune remake retain this difficulty from its PlayStation 4 remastered version.
