1) New characters' visions

The standout feature from the Genshin Impact 4.8 Natlan teaser was the debut of the three characters that are likely to be playable in the future. While they may be hard to spot, the visions of all three characters can be seen if close attention is paid.

The girl that rides a shark has a Hydro vision on her back. The young man has a Dendro vision on the back of his right leg. Finally, the young girl who can scale up walls and drill the ground has a Geo vision on her right arm.

2) Natlan map

During the Version 4.8 Natlan teaser, a chase sequence was shown in the form of a cartoon. During this sequence, we got to see the landscapes of Natlan and make certain assumptions. Judging by the map, Natlan is a region with diverse biomes ranging from beautiful forests to rocky deserts.

A user on X named @_homdgcat has managed to stitch up the instances of the Natlan map shown in the teaser to create a comprehensive look at the potential layout of Natlan when Version 5.0 goes live.

3) New enemy type

Throughout the Natlan teaser in the 4.8 live stream, an enemy with a big drill-like weapon was seen chasing the young girl with the Geo vision. When the latter teams up with the young man and the girl riding the shark, we get to see two more enemies.

This could likely be one of the many enemy mobs in Natlan that players might have to defeat in order to farm materials for their characters and weapons.

4) New rumored mount system

Another interesting feature showcased in the Natlan 4.8 teaser was the traversal abilities of the characters and the similarities they had with the Saurians shown in the 4.7 live stream. The girl with the Geo vision was able to drill her way through the landscape similar to the small Saurian with rocky scales.

The girl riding the shark showed a lot of similarities to the Saurian that was able to swim in water and lava while the young man with the Dendro Vision was able to hop and fly across the forest much like the green Saurian shown in the 4.7 livestream.

These could be the initial indicators of the rumored mount system potentially becoming a reality.

5) Vision shape inspired by the Aztec calendar

An interesting observation by a user on X named @World1mpact revolves around the shape of the visions used by the three characters in the Natlan 4.8 teaser resembling the symbol of the Aztec calendar.

Players who have followed the lore of Natlan and listened to speculations know by now that Natlan is expected to be a region influenced by Mesoamerican and African traditions. The Aztec calendar symbol being used as the shape of a Vision gives further credibility to the potential of real-life influences being used by HoYoVerse to build Natlan.
