1) Vantage

Vantage has seen a massive buff in Apex Legends Season 22. Her Sniper's Mark has recently been improved for better accuracy, is more hurtful, and better yet, her recon vision is handier this time. Players who want an option to carry a Sniper as their third weapon can use Vantage and carry a few Ult Accelerants to make some great plays.

Lastly, her Echo Location has also been buffed, and she no longer needs direct LOS (line-of-sight) to use her Tactical. Players can now also cancel it mid-execution, and slide-around boxes and geometry to reach Echo.

2) Crypto

Another massive buff has been handed to Crypto, another fellow Recon Class Legend in Apex Legends. Crypto has barely seen any improvement in his pick rate in the past three or four years since his release. He remains one of the least-picked Legends aside from competitive Apex.

That said, we believe he is undoubtedly one of the most underrated Legends in Apex Legends Season 22. The latest season has added the following buffs to his kit:

Tactical

• Surveillance Drone: cooldown decreased to 30s (was 40s)

Upgrades

• NEW: It’s called Off the Grid: Crypto becomes cloaked when in drone.
• While hidden from sight, Crypto’s cloaking will still emit a close-range cloaking sound to sus his location and ability scans will still reveal his location.
• Threat Vision-related skills will not reveal Crypto.
• Improved Satellite Imagery: Ult now scans anyone it hits for 4s and will track through walls.
• Quick Ping: removed, improved handling now integrated into base kit.

These additions improve his playability and mask him from offensive fire when using his Drone. Players have much better control over the character, which is why we believe he is a sleeper pick for this season.

Controller Legends have seen a major buff in Apex Legends Season 22. Wattson, who, much like Crypto, is primarily a preferred choice of character for Competitive Apex. However, other than her presence in ALGS games, the Legend barely has any playability in the game.

That said, her newest upgrade and the changes to the Controller class have made her quite powerful. She still has a high ceiling, which is what makes her an underrated Legend in Apex Legends Season 22.
