World’s Edge in Apex Legends can challenge players to make it to the top spot. So it is crucial to avoid certain spots while deploying to the battlefield as these can potentially create a disadvantageous starting point. Various factors make a drop spot good or bad including loot availability, rotation routes, and more.

World’s Edge in Apex Legends is one of the older maps and has returned to the map rotation in Season 23 for casual and ranked playlists. It combines various terrains alongside clusters of buildings and smaller houses but is distinct primarily due to the presence of snow-capped regions and lava flowing through the battlefield.

This article will highlight the worst drop spots in Apex Legends’ World’s Edge map.

What are the worst drop spots in World’s Edge in Apex Legends?

1) Hill Valley

Hill Valley is located directly between Countdown and Monument outside the tunnel that connects Skyhook and the Vault. It is a scarcely populated area where loot is limited and may not be enough to fully equip even two players with full loadouts and attachments. The best shot at getting some items in this region is to get inside the Vault tunnel and open the loot bins present inside.

The primary disadvantage while landing in this area is that it falls in between four major drop locations — Skyhook, Monument, Countdown, and Landslide. This will automatically put pressure on the team as the circles begin to close and opponents start making rotations. There are no escape routes in this area and will have you run into a different team when making rotations.

2) Lava Fields

Lava Fields is a crucial connecting area in World’s Edge in Apex Legends that can make or break the game if the final zones form around it. However, it is a deal-breaker when it comes to loot and as a starting point. It is a stranded zone that will send the squad into a panic and force them to run to different areas for loot as quickly as possible.

It is essentially an open ground with some rocks to act as cover and falls directly between the Launch Site and The Dome POIs (Points of Interest). If any team lingers around this place for a long time, they will simply become enemy targets that have dropped into the neighboring locations including any squads rotating from Stacks toward Geyser or Lava Siphon.

3) Fissure Crossing

Fissure Crossing is the type of location that can help you take high ground advantage but only after you have geared up from a different location in World’s Edge in Apex Legends. The loot on this bridge and below it is limited to a few bins and some ground equipment. It is also quite easy to push for other teams as it only has two main exits on either side of the bridge.

This area lies between Epicenter and Climatizer which is a threat in itself since both POIs are hot drops. Climatizer is one of the most dropped locations after Monument so it is best to steer clear of anything that falls in its vicinity (unless you want to get into a fight immediately).

The nearest escape route is a jump tower that is just a few paces away from Climatizer. There is a good chance that you will get shot down while zipping up and trying to escape.

4) Tunnel

The Tunnel near Geyser is another unfortunate place to be looking for loot. It offers limited items and will have the team searching for ammo which will only be sufficient to get through one gunfight. It is also connected to both sides and contains a Vault which makes it highly dangerous during the first few circles as teams find the Keys and make their way to get high-tier loot.

The entire tunnel is closed off and has no opening at the top so there is no chance of using Evac Towers. You either need to confront the teams pushing in or run out of one of the remaining routes. Even then, there is a chance a different enemy will be waiting on the other side to wipe the squad out.

5) Sniper’s Ridge

Sniper’s Ridge is another late-game position in World’s Edge in Apex Legends that can provide teams with ample high ground. But if you are dropping in this location, the start of your match will be dissatisfying. This area generally cannot even fully equip a single player, so a full team remains out of the question.

Just beside this spot is Bloodhound’s Trials, which is a great place to get a lot of loot and quickly upgrade armor. It is better to challenge an enemy team to try and take control of the POI than to land in Sniper’s Ridge. Moreover, the only way to make it out of this place is to either travel through Skyhook or run around to Lava Fissure and Countdown.
