7 hidden chests you may have missed in Genshin Impact 5.2

The Genshin Impact 5.2 update released some new regions in Natlan where you can find over 200 chests. However, a lot of these are hidden, making them very easy to miss. To obtain them, you may need to perform some random tasks, such as digging at a spot, placing rocks in a certain position, and even helping some baby Saurians.

This article will list seven such chests that you may have missed in the Genshin Impact 5.2 update.

Chest #1

Rescue the Tepetlisaurus Whelp (Image via HoYoverse)

Teleport to the southeastern waypoint in the Flower-Feather Clan, and head west to find an enemy camp with several Tepetlisaurus Whelps trapped inside cages.

Defeat all the enemies before interacting with the paint bucket, with a small white marker, to get a key, and use it to open the cage. Follow the Saurian to get more keys and rescue all the Tepetlisaurus Whelps. This will give you one Remarkable Chest, worth five Primogems in Genshin Impact.

After collecting the Remarkable Chest in the previous entry, head slightly southwest to find some Tepetlisaurus playing near the bushes. Approach them and dig around the flowerbed to get a Common Chest, worth two Primogems.

Chest #3

Help the Tepetlisaur get to the other side (Image via HoYoverse)

Teleport to the Statue of The Seven, northwest of the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe, and head southeast to find a small graffiti puzzle and Tepetlisaurus Whelp standing at the edge near the waterfall.

Start by indwelling a nearby Iktomisaurus and hold the Normal Attack button to use its ability, while aiming at the graffiti on the rock behind the stones. Next, hold the skill button and aim above these stones to place the rock. This will create a platform for the Tepetlisaur to walk on and get to the other side. Follow it to get an Exquisite Chest, worth five Primogems in Genshin Impact.

Chest #4

Complete a Target Balloon challenge (Image via HoYoverse)

Proceed to the Flower-Feather Clan using the Reputation waypoint, and go to the platform on your right to find a few NPCs next to a board. Approach them, and select the "Begin the Target Balloon challenge" option.

This will summon an air balloon you can get on. Talk to the NPC to trigger the challenge. Next, use a Bow character to burst at least 12 balloons to get a Common Chest, worth two Primogems.

On a related note, you can unlock the "One Way Ride Through Target Town..." hidden achievement by blowing up all 36 balloons during the challenge.

Chest #5

Place the rock and complete the circle (Image via HoYoverse)

Return to the Flower-Feather Clain Reputation Obsidian Totem, and head northeast to find a Kamera and Tepetlisaurus Whelp. Indwell the nearby Iktomisaur and use its skill on the small rock with the graffiti. Next, go towards the cliff to find several small rocks placed in the shape of a circle. Finally, place the rock in the empty space to get a Common Chest, worth two Primogems in Genshin Impact.

Chest #6

Teleport to the waypoint near Ashflow Street, and turn around. Head straight and take a right turn, once you reach a small river to find a Tenebrous Mimesis, near a Phlogiston Wind Tunnel. Defeat the mob to get the one Exquisite Chest, worth five Primogems. Using a Natlan character is advised, since Nightsoul-aligned attacks can destroy the Tenebrous Mimesis' shield faster.

Use the teleport waypoint west of the Legendary Tonatiuh icon on the map and take the stairs on the left. Keep going straight to find a Tenebrous Mimesis, and defeat it to get a Remarkable Chest.
