Acheron vs Aventurine: Which 5-star rerun character should you pull in Honkai Star Rail 2.6?

Due to both Aventurine and Acheron treading on dissimilar Paths and excelling in different fields, comparing their usefulness is rather unfair for both. However, depending on your account and taste of characters, you can pull for either of them. For example, if you already have two or more team compositions with good DPS characters that can easily clear most of the end-game/high-tier activities, you don't need to pull for another one.

Similarly, if you have one or a couple of good sustainers of healers that can easily help you keep your characters alive as well as grant some additional buffs to them, you don't need to pull for Aventurine.

Therefore, the 5-star rerun character you should pul in Honkai Star Rail 2.6 solely depends on what the player wants that will benefit their account. As for a neutral pick, if you like flashy gameplay and good character design with a slim chance of power creeping, Acheron is the character you should go for.

4) Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae

Coming in last is Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae. This 5-star unit debuted during version 1.3 of the title and later became a victim of power creep. After the introduction of Acheron and the Break Effect DPS characters such as Boothill, and Firefly, his popularity in high-tier activities became negligible.

To this date, he is a decent DPS unit but requires a hefty chunk of investment along with good support units to accompany him to the battlefield to be on par with the meta-defining DPS characters.

3) Rappa

While she is the newest 5-star character, we have decided to put Rappa in third place. Although she boasts the Break Effect play style and deals a significant amount of damage, she lacks usefulness when compared to the characters in first and second place.

Rappa follows the Erdition Path and mostly deals damage to either adjacent or all enemies on the battlefield.

Aventurine is one of the best sustainers in Honkai Star Rail and can be placed in any team composition due to his kit’s versatility. However, he can perform to his fullest when paired with characters such as Robin, Topaz, Jade, Herta, and more units who excel in unleashing follow-up attacks.

If you're looking for a character or sustainer, in this case, spend your Stellar Jades in Honkai Star Rail 2.6 and pull for Aventurine.

Finally, as most players may have guessed, Acheron is the best unit out of the four who are getting a banner in Honkai Star Rail 2.6. Her ability to easily eliminate waves of adversaries and dealing hefty chunks of damage to bosses makes her viable in most scenarios.

In high-tier activities, Acheron performs excellently and can deal damage without stopping. Since her ultimate doesn’t require any Energy, she doesn't need to keep attacking the opponents to unleash the ability.
