The recent Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) matches featured a healthy Fuse pick rate and could potentially skyrocket it to the Apex Legends Season 22 meta. The professionals primarily took advantage of this Assault legend with the Evac Tower combination to increase Fuse’s Ultimate’s Area Of Effect (AOE). His entire ability kit is focused on chipping damage and cornering enemy squads, making him one of the most annoying characters to deal with on the map.
Fuse can also carry double the amount of grenades because of his passive ability. This makes it easier for players to equip their character with several Thermites, Arc Stars, and Grenades in the final circles to spam on opponents. This, combined with the recharging signature ability, allows Fuse to force other squads to deplete their medical resources before heading into a gunfight.
This article highlights the potential Fuse meta in Apex Legends Season 22.

Why might Fuse be meta in Apex Legends Season 22
Fuse is a capable Assault category legend who can hold his own during gunfights with a niche ability kit. The first ability, Knuckle Cluster, can be used to break doors, damage trap abilities like Rampart’s walls, and deal a significant amount of chip damage on enemy characters. However, it has a projectile and can be difficult to stick on opponents from further away.

The Grenadier passive ability allows players to carry two grenades in a single slot. But this stack only works with the same type of explosive equipment - two Arc Stars, two Thermites, or two Grenades per slot. Therefore, a squad can carry a huge inventory of such items that could be used to drive out enemies from corners or initiate gunfights.
Fuse can also throw these grenades further with his mechanized arm, making interfering in ongoing team fights easier. This can be used to score easy knocks and eliminations from a distance without needing to sacrifice the squad’s position in a zone.
The ultimate ability, The Motherlode, can be used around enemy positions to trap them. It also highlights all characters inside the flames and near them. All the positional information can then be used with grenade spams to secure squad wipes. The Motherlode can also be used around a building to spot enemies inside, but this takes a lot of practice as the flame detection has a limited range.

Moreover, Fuse players can choose to gain access to ring consoles as the Level 2 Perk, eliminating the need for a Controller legend in the team. The third-level upgrade depends on personal preference, as both are great upgrades that can help a squad win matches.
Fuse is a flexible character who can inflict a lot of damage, disorient teams, and fulfill the role of a zone scanner. All of these qualities are greatly suited for the meta, especially after the introduction of the new E-District map which is filled with several buildings and covers.
