Yhoran's Tactical Trial is a series of challenges located in The Black Shores map in Wuthering Waves. These challenges are combat-oriented, requiring the player to fulfill certain objectives in order to claim the rewards. After an initial introduction to the quest, Yhoran's Tactical Trials can be found in various locations all across The Black Shores Arechipelago and Tethys' Deep.
This article provides a guide to the locations of all seven Yhoran's Tactical Trial challenges in Wuthering Waves 1.3, as well as how to complete them quickly and efficiently.

To unlock Yhoran's Tactical Trial, you will need to reach the location marked on the map and defeat the enemies situated nearby.

Once you do so, a short quest will begin, where Yhoran will show up and introduce her Tactical Trial challenges. She will then ask you to take part in the combat challenges that she has prepared, following which the locations of all the Tactical Trials will be marked on the map.
Wuthering Waves Yhoran's Tactical Trial locations and guide
There are a total of seven Yhoran's Tactical Trial challenges all across the Black Shores map: three in the Black Shores Archipelago area and four in the Tethys' Deep area.
Yhoran's Tactical Trial locations in Black Shores Archipelago
1) Yhoran's Tactical Trial: TD Observatory
The objectives for this challenge include:
- Goal 1: Take fewer than five hits.
- Goal 2: Defeat the Prisms va Violet-Feathered Heron or Cyan-Feathered Heron.
- Goal 3: Defeat all Prisms within 45 seconds.
If you don't manage to complete all the goals in one challenge, feel free to restart and try again. You don't need to achieve all three goals in one challenge itself. You can achieve them separately over two or three tries.
For Goal 2, the trick is to wait for the Violet-Feathered Heron or the Cyan-Feathered Heron to absorb the Prisms. In order to do so, immobilize them first, then let them recover without killing them. After they have recovered, they will absorb the Prisms.
For each goal you complete, you will get one Tidal Heritage as a reward (Blue, Purple, and Gold for each of the three goals, respectively).
2) Yhoran's Tactical Trial: Haven of Sprouts
The objectives for this challenge include:
- Goal 1: Perform 2 Dodge Counters
- Goal 2: Use Intro Skill one time
- Goal 3: Finish the trial with at least 30s left
The objectives for this challenge are fairly easy and can be completed in one go itself. However, in case you fail to achieve any goal, you can always restart and try again.
You will get three Tidal Heritages (Blue, Purple, Gold) for achieving all the three combat goals.
3) Yhoran's Tactical Trial: Tethys Hub
The objectives for this challenge include:
- Goal 1: Dodge 1 attack
- Goal 2: Knock over Hoartoise 6 times
- Goal 3: Finish the trial with at least 30s left
Goals 1 and 2 for this challenge are fairly easy. Keep in mind that you need to knock the Hoartoise over a total of six times in order to achieve Goal 2. If you aren't able to do it right away, you can restart the challenge till you achieve all three goals.
As usual, you will get three Tidal Heritages for achieving all three goals.
Yhoran's Tactical Trial locations in Tethys' Deep
4) Yhoran's Tactical Trial: Modulation Hall
- Goal 1: Dodge 3 attacks
- Goal 2: Avoid being immobilized by the Traffic Illuminator
- Goal 3: Finish the trial with at least 60s left
While the three main goals are fairly easy, this challenge also has an additional goal, which is to defeat the Chasm Guardian within the time limit. However, you do not get any additional rewards for this.
Completing all three goals rewards you with three Tidal Heritages: Blue, Purple, and Gold.
5) Yhoran's Tactical Trial: Error Cell
- Goal 1: Perform two Dodge Counters.
- Goal 2: Take fewer than 10 hits.
- Goal 3: Deal damage with Resonance Liberation.
This challenge is fairly easy, and you can complete all three goals in one try itself. Just remember to use your Resonance Liberation at least once, and do not get hit more than 10 times. You will be rewarded with three Tidal Heritages for achieving all three goals.
6) Yhoran's Tactical Trial: Bank of Life
- Goal 1: Perform three Dodge Counters.
- Goal 2: Force the Excarats to surface with Plunging Attacks.
- Goal 3: Defeat the Sabyr Boar last.
The goals for this challenge are moderately easy, as all you have to do is focus on defeating the other enemies while saving the Sabyr Boar for last. Achieving all three goals will reward you with three Tidal Heritages: Blue, Purple, and Gold.
7) Yhoran's Tactical Trial: Tethys' Deep Island
- Goal 1: Avoid being frozen by Glacio Chafe.
- Goal 2: Defeat both Glacio Dreadmanes within 20s after the first one is down.
- Goal 3: Finish the trial with at least 30s left.
The goals for this challenge are pretty easy to achieve, as long as you focus on not getting frozen by the enemies. Defeating both the Glacio Dreadmanes in quick succession is also easy because they aren't very tanky.
As with all the other Tactical Trial challenges, you will get three Tidal Heritages (Blue, Purple, and Gold) for achieving all the challenge goals.
