Aero characters in Wuthering Waves use the wind and other related magical elements. This helps some of them swiftly deal with their opponents, provide protection to their allies, and distract enemies. The game currently has four Aero characters: one Main-DPS, two Sub-DPS/Support hybrids, and one Sub-DPS.

Wuthering Waves: Aero characters list
1) Jiyan
Jiyan is easily the strongest Aero character in Wuthering Waves right now. A 5-star Main DPS and the first character to be featured in a limited-time banner, Jiyan is an exceptionally strong ally. He's quite powerful at clearing large mobs. His Resonance Liberation allows him to constantly parry and rack up huge amounts of damage as well.

The current best team comp in the game consists of Jiyan, Mortefi, and Verina; it can clear almost all of the game's content at the moment.
2) Yangyang
Yangyang is one of the two characters you can get for free very early into the game. She is a 4-star hybrid of a Support and Sub-DPS character, providing good crowd control, decent damage, and solid energy regeneration with her Outro Skill.
She is an average character at the moment and doesn't stand out exceptionally well in any metric. However, she can be utilized in pretty much any team due to her simple playstyle.
3) Jianxin
Jianxin is a potent Support character who can also function as a Sub-DPS in certain team comps. She provides exceptional shielding and is a stalwart for any team she is a part of. She also brings the best crowd control tools in the game, which immensely helps Main DPS characters deal as much damage as possible.
Jianxin's Outro Skill buffs the Resonance Liberation DMG% of the character that enters the field. This makes Calcharo and Havoc Rover great pairing options.
4) Aalto
Aalto is a great 4-star Sub-DPS character to use thanks to his unique playstyle where he can create misty projections of himself to taunt enemies. He provides strong Aero DMG bonuses with his Outro Skill and has a cool Resonance Liberation that increases the damage dealt when abilities pass through it.
However, Aalto is outclassed in the Sub-DPS department by almost everyone. While his taunt mechanics are decent, it simply doesn't enable Main DPS characters that well compared to what other Sub-DPS' can offer. His best Main DPS synergy is with Jiyan and even then, he is overshadowed by Mortefi in this regard.
The Aero attribute in Wuthering Waves features a mixture of strong, average, and weak characters. The upcoming 1.1 update is not set to include any new Aero characters.
