Respawn has just introduced a major overhaul to Apex Legends Battle Pass. Developers have been actively trying to bring changes to the game and they have started with the Battle Pass. The biggest change would be the new pricing model where the Battle Pass will cost IRL currency instead of AC. The reaction of the community over this decision is yet to come forward.

- Battle Pass now divided into splits rather than season
- Levels to obtain final key cosmetic items reduced from 110 to 60
- Free track and Premium track rewards refreshed with new entries for each split
- New Premium+ track introduced with additional rewards
- The cost of buying Apex Legends BP changed from 950 AC to $9.99 (Premium) and 2800 AC to $19.99 (Premium+/Premium bundle)
According to the developers, the feedback from the community was duly taken into account before deciding to change the Battle Pass experience. The new BP coming in Season 22 will be shorter (one for each split) and will only be purchasable with IRL currency.

Furthermore, players have the opportunity to try this new format for free. At the start of the new season, they can launch the game and complete a set of challenges within the first two weeks to receive the first split’s Premium Battle Pass.

Finally, the Premium Bundle is being removed from the game. Instead, they have introduced a whole new track.
Developers are introducing a Premium+ BP track with similar rewards to the Premium Bundle but with added advantages. These include:
Apart from these additions, the devs also announced the removal of Trackers after Battle Pass Season 21. Only the base-level Trackers filling up the BP will be removed, while fully-designed ones featuring art will still be available in the Battle Pass. Furthermore, the Tracker art will be customizable to any Legend’s banner card.
