1) Seeker Tree
Seeker is the default Archetype for the protagonist. It is a decent all-rounder class that has access to healing, buffing, and Wind magic. This makes it quite versatile over various circumstances in the early to mid-game.
However, given its all-rounder nature, it fails to perform exceptionally well in any particular area.

2) Warrior Tree
The Warrior Archetype specializes in physical attacks that mostly deal single-target damage. Since the focus of the Warrior class is pure strength, it lacks any type of support spells and falls weak to magic attacks.
Slicer is one of the best skills in the Warrior class, as it allows you to deal multiple instances of damage and can be useful for quickly finishing off normal enemies.
3) Mage Tree
The Mage Archetype does exactly what it says, it lets you perform various types of magic attacks and spells and exploit their weaknesses. Mage gets access to Fire, Ice, and Electric attacks from the very beginning, which means it can easily handle a wide range of match-ups. It is a versatile class that also has decent support skills to help the team.
4) Healer Tree
The Healer is yet another traditional JRPG class in Metaphor ReFantazio that brings some neat tricks, like reviving fallen teammates and removing status conditions or debuffs. It is a helpful class that keeps your team healthy and prepared to sustain difficult battles.
However, this class suffers from low defense stats and weakness to certain types of enemy attacks.
5) Knight Tree
The Knight Archetype in Metaphor ReFantazio focuses on defensive capabilities. They can divert enemy attacks on themselves and sustain multiple hits using their defensive barrier spells and high defense.
The class loses some value during the late game, where bosses hit the whole party at once, but this class remains a solid option for sustainability during the majority of playthrough.
6) Brawler Tree
Brawler deals strong single-strike attacks that cost HP. It’s a strong Archetype that can be especially useful when you’re running low on MP points to cast spells.
However, its glass-canon style of gameplay can be difficult to manage on higher difficulties or without a healer in a party.
7) Merchant Tree
Merchant Archetype in Metaphor ReFantazio works similarly to Brawler in the sense that it uses a resource other than MP to support its team. The Merchant uses money to cast spells and focuses on improving item effectiveness and drop rates for longer team sustainability.
Moreover, all of Merchant’s attacks are considered Almighty, i.e., they hit regardless of enemy resistance and status effects.

9) Thief Tree
The Thief class possesses the ability to steal items from enemies and can be leveled up to learn spells that drain their MP and HP. They have access to a wide range of magic and status ailment spells and can nullify enemy buffs.

11) Commander Tree
This Archetype specializes in changing team formations. Its abilities, like “Formation of Vigor,” move all of your party members to the frontline and boost their attacks. Similarly, “Shelter Formation” takes all the party members to the back line and grants them a huge damage boost.
You can pair this Archetype with a Warrior or Summoner to deal heavy damage to enemies and bosses.
12) Masked Dancer Tree
Masked Dancer, much like the Seeker Archetype, is an all-rounder class that can equip “Masks” to act as a healer, debuffer, or damage dealer.
