Marvel Rivals Season 1 balance changes: Everything we know
The official Marvel Rivals channel uploaded the third episode of Dev Vision, where the developers discuss the upcoming changes and the feedback they have noted from the community. This episode sheds light on how NetEase Games is planning to balance the gameplay with the release of the first season.
To achieve this, the upcoming season will be implementing the following changes in specific heroes:
Hero nerfs
Hela and Hawkeye have been dominant in Season 0. If you are unaware, Diamond and above ranks have hero ban options in competitive matches and these two heroes are quite often banned. To address this, the developers have confirmed that they will be getting some nerfs to reduce their overpowered abilities.
Additionally, they also addressed the concerns related to Jeff The Land Shark's ultimate ability "It's Jeff!," ensuring that the warning signals will align more accurately with the hitbox from Season 1 — an issue reported by numerous players ever since the release of the game.

Hero buffs
Five heroes will be getting buffs: Captain America, Venom, Wolverine, Storm, and Cloak & Dagger. Vanguard class heroes Captain America and Venom will receive enhancement in their speed and agility — which would significantly improve their mobility and help them engage more effectively in the battles.
Additionally, Wolverine and Storm will see improvements that help them to be more viable in team strategies. Cloak & Dagger will get a buff that increases its effectiveness and potential in different team compositions.
That's all the balance changes coming with Marvel Rivals Season 1. The season is set to arrive on January 10, 2025, at 4 AM Eastern Time — bringing with it new maps and heroes as well.
