A total of eight teams are participating from the strongest regions in the world for LoL. These include T1 and GenG from Korea, G2 from Europe, Bilibili Gaming from China, Team Liquid from North America, and others.

As per the X post made by Esports World Cup, here is the broadcast talent for League of Legends:

  • Steve "Kangas" Kangas (USA): Stage host
  • Daniel "dGon" Gonzales (USA): Desk host

  • Max "Atlus" Anderson (Australia): Caster
  • Wolf "Wolf" Schröder (USA): Caster
  • Athena "Kitty" Jiang (Australia): Interviewer
  • Keltoum "Giniro" Baddaje (Morocco, Netherlands): Content host

These well-known hosts, analysts, casters, and interviewers hail from various corners of the globe and oversee diverse tournaments. Kangas hosts the LoL LCS tournaments, while personas such as dGon, Aux, Valdes, Atlus, and Wolf are from the LCK tournament. Furthermore, Kitty is a Twitch streamer who has cast LPL matches in the past.

The announcement was met with a mixed reception from X users, with some disappointed over the picks and others excited for what's to come. Even though many owners of esports organizations have warmly received Saudi Arabia's interest and investments in esports, there are some within the esports community who have mixed feelings.

That's mainly due to Saudi Arabia's human rights record. Some have questioned "sportwashing" as a result of receiving funds from Saudi Arabia. That seems to be the primary reason for this backlash on the internet.
