The traps can be disabled or destroyed and deal a small amount of damage over time. While it is useful for blocking doors and fortifying a floor, this legend fails to maintain complete control. Players have to depend a lot on the ultimate ability to be able to defend spot and deter enemy aggression for the final zones.

Caustic’s ultimate is generally also used as an initiation ability to smoke out and deal some damage before fighting with teams already present inside cover.

Catalyst is a great pick that can fortify doors and even create strong doors in case they are broken by others with grenades and abilities. Players can also create multiple walls around places like stairs to eliminate some entry routes. This can help the squad to focus on ongoing gunfights and secure eliminations.

Wattson can place electric fences around corners and hallways to delay and disorient enemies. These are most useful when placed around Zipline entry points in buildings or other Points Of Interest (POIs) to block enemies from pushing or trapping unsuspecting opponents. Wattson’s ultimate is another great ability, as it can destroy incoming grenades or other explosive projectiles while it regenerates shields for the squad when necessary.

In the final zones of Apex Legends, Wattson can potentially create an entire maze of fences that would continuously inflict chip damage unless destroyed or shot down by enemy teams.

It is important to note that all Controllers have received a buff that increases their total shield health by one extra cell (Red Shield is the maximum limit) whenever inside the safe zone.
