The recently released farming sim title, Farming Simulator 25 has already generated a lot of hype amongst gamers. It has a large variety of new as well as returning crops (from the previous titles of the franchise). If you want to become an expert farmer in the game, it will be in your best interest to know the crop varieties beforehand so you can plan ahead for your season.

There are a total of 25 crops available in Farming Simulator 25, at the time this article is being written. However, to make sure that the newcomers to this game don't get overwhelmed, GIANTS software makes sure that you only start with Canola and Wheat. Eventually, you will start farming other crops like Potatoes, Sugarcane, Olives, etc.

  • Sorghum
  • Corn
  • Sunflowers
  • Soybeans
  • Potatoes
  • Sugar Beet
  • Sugarcane
  • Cotton
  • Grapes
  • Olives
  • Grass
  • Red Beet
  • Carrots
  • Parsnips
  • Green
  • Beans
  • Peas
  • Spinach
  • Long Grain Rice
  • Rice

For your ranch animals and livestock, you can also grow and harvest Grass, Hay, and Straw. When it comes to animals in Farming Simulation 25, there are 10 options in total that you can choose from to keep on your farm. Here is a list of these animals:

  • Bees
  • Chickens
  • Cows
  • Deer
  • Dogs
  • Goats
  • Horses
  • Pigs
  • Sheep
  • Water Buffalos

Apart from Water Buffalos and Goats, all other animals are the same as in the previous entries of the franchise. To make the most profits in Farming Simulator 25, your best bet would be to keep as many Pigs as pets as possible. Additionally, you can also keep Bees to farm Honey, which can be sold for a good amount. However, despite countless demands from fans, cats are still not a part of the animal roster in Farming Simulation 25.


The game is available on all next-gen consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS.
