Gohan's Branching Path in Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO
The sole Branching Path episode for Gohan within Sparking ZERO is "The Strongest Warrior." The path can be initiated in the episode "Defend Earth from the Frieza Force!" where Gohan must take down Frieza and his soldier.
The duo must be defeated without losing too much health and quickly, which will initiate the Branching path. Taking too long to defeat them will continue the main campaign, and this optional path will be missed. If completed, Frieza will transform after coming to the conclusion that Gohan is more powerful than anticipated.
Frieza then transforms into his Golden form and despite being incredibly powerful, finds defeat at the hands of Gohan. After this fight with Golden Frieza, Gohan Black shows up. Due to Black Gohan's immortality, Gohan cannot defeat him in his current state, followed by Trunks' arrival, who helps him escape. Learning attacks from Piccolo, Gohan trains to become capable enough to defeat Gohan Black.
Once back on the battlefield against Black Gohan, the two duel. Depleting Black Gohan's health bar will see him reveal his true identity to be that of Zamasu, following which Black Gohan and Zamasu fuse, becoming even more powerful. Gohan can now reduce Zamasu's health bar, and doing so will end the combat on this path.
Goku and Gohan attempt a double Kamehameha on Zamasu but they are unsuccessful. However, Trunks returns and helps the duo capture Zamasu, and send him away for permanent containment. With this, the Branching Path comes to a close.
