All Golden Key locations for the Golden Tower in Cat Quest 3

Cat Quest 3 provides players with a lot of optional content you can easily miss out on if you only follow the game’s main storyline. These encounters provide extra challenges and rewards, so completing them is recommended for a complete experience of the title. The Golden Tower in Cat Quest 3 is one of the many towers you can tackle to unlock the Golden Armor set. This armor set is unique as it increases the damage you can deal based on the amount of gold you have.

However, you need to locate five Golden Keys spread across the map to unlock the Golden Tower and complete the armor set. This guide will walk you through the locations of all five Golden Keys to help you unlock the Golden Tower in Cat Quest 3.

1) First Key

Make your way to the Golden Tower in the northern part of Purvanna. Enter the tower and interact with the locked door to trigger a cutscene with “A Generic Pi-Rat who claims to be Level 40”. He will then attack you for entering the tower. Defeat the Pi-Rat boss and it will reward you with your first Golden Key.

The fight is fairly simple, just avoid his two slashes and attack the boss during its recovery animation. If you are a spell-caster, move to a safe distance and cast magic attacks from afar.

2) Second Key

To get to the second key in Cat Quest 3, head outside the Golden Tower and walk to the north-western side of the beach. You will find several golden coins that you can collect. One of these golden coins will float away from you. Follow this coin all the way through Purvanna and it will take you to a treasure chest containing the second Golden Key.

3) Third Key

The golden coin leading to the third key is located on the unnamed island situated northwest of the Twin Islands. Make your way onto the island and pick up the gold coins there. One of the golden coins will float away from you. Follow this coin all the way through Long Islands to find the treasure chest containing the third Golden Key.

4) Fourth Key

The fourth key requires you to make your way to the westmost island of the Sunset Islands area. Collect all the golden coins there and one of them will take you to the treasure chest containing the fourth Golden Key near the Eight Bit Dungeon.

It’s a pretty late-game area, so make sure you are leveled up enough to beat the enemies around this island.

5) Fifth Key

The final Golden Key in Cat Quest 3 is located on Furggy Island. Head to this island and make your way north till you find a Pi-Rat boss. Defeat it and collect the treasures and coins nearby. The coin hiding behind the palm tree will guide you to the final key required to unlock the Golden Tower.

Once you collect all the keys, head inside the Golden Tower and start climbing. The Golden Tower has six floors, with a boss fight at the end. Clearing challenges on each floor will reward you with a piece of the Golden Armor set and its upgrades.
