All GreedFall 2 companions and how to unlock them

GreedFall 2 companions are some of the only few friends you will find on your journey. As you progress in exploring the rich world of GreedFall 2, you will encounter all kinds of monsters and other threats that can end your journey before its intended destination. So to make sure you survive the hardships of this unforgiving world, you will need companions.

According to the recently released blog by the developers, there are five main GreedFall 2 companions and a secret sixth companion who will join you at a certain point in the story. You can get most of these companions to join you as you play through the prologue. Keep in mind that you can only add three GreedFall 2 companions to your active party at a time.

How to get all GreedFall 2 companions

Here are all the GreedFall 2 companions you unlock by playing the prologue and completing your initiation ritual:

• Nílan: Nílan is part of the Teer Fradee tribe and joins you from the very beginning of the game without any additional steps.
• Fausta: After the prologue, Fausta is found in the prison, where you briefly talk with her. She becomes part of your party once you're rescued and start The Escape quest.
• Alvida: You encounter Alvida on a boat right after the prologue. She joins your party when you're rescued, and this unlocks her at the start of The Escape quest, which kicks off automatically after the prologue.
• Sybille: You meet Sybille while escaping the prison. She officially joins your team after you finish escaping the sewers at the conclusion of the Escape from Olima portion of The Escape quest.
• Ludwig: He is waiting at the sewer exit after your prison escape. He becomes a companion once you finish escaping, completing the Escape from Olima section of The Escape quest.

The mysterious sixth character unlocked in the game is Shéda. Just like Nílan, she is also a companion who joins you at the start of the game; however, due to some lore reasons (spoilers), she has to leave your party. Later in the game, Shéda returns and joins you again.

Each of these companions has their special abilities and playstyles. While you can't have more than three companions in your party at a time you can cycle any character in or out of your party throughout the game. This way you can build the perfect party composition for every situation.
