The latest Nintendo Direct June 2024 showcase had a bunch of exciting reveals, some expected and others not so. As unveiled at the showcases' announcement, this event exclusively centered around upcoming Nintendo Switch games for 2024 (and some coming in 2025). From familiar and surprising ports to all-new installments in iconic installments, there is much to look forward to.

1) Mario & Luigi: Brothership

A new Mario & Luigi game is on the horizon as Mario & Luigi Brothership was announced at the Nintendo Direct June 2024. This JRPG adventure is a return to form for the spinoff series as an all-new adventure centered around the titular heroes on an island-faring journey. It is set to arrive on November 7, 2024.
2) The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
Hyrule is in danger once again, and this time, the Princess herself steps in to save the kingdom. After Link goes missing, Zelda must track him down and find the cause of mysterious rifts appearing around the world.
Armed with the magical Tri-Rod, players can replicate objects and even enemies for some eureka moments across exciting puzzles and combat scenarios when the game launches on September 26, 2024.
3) Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
The beloved Nintendo Wii platformer classic returns, all remastered for Nintendo Switch. This rendition of Donkey Kong Country Returns also includes extra levels from the Nintendo 3DS rendition, making it the definitive version of the tough-as-nails sidescroller. It will arrive on Nintendo Switch on January 16, 2025.
4) Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes
We also get a first major look at the Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes for the first three games in the iconic JRPG saga from Square Enix at the Nintendo Direct June 2024. Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D is set to launch on November 14, 2024, while Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D will arrive in 2025.
5) Super Mario Party Jamboree
The next Mario Party adventure takes place on a vast resort island. Super Mario Party Jamboree players will see players and their friends partake in various fun and competitive minigames across various maps, including a shopping mall and racetrack. It launches for Nintendo Switch on October 17, 2024
6) Ace Attorney Investigations Collection
Two underrated entries in Capcom's beloved Ace Attorney series are next in line to get a remaster. The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is set to include enhanced versions of Miles Edgeworth and the previously-Japan-only sequel Prosecutor's Gambit.
Players will control the beloved court prosecutor across a series of engaging crime mysteries when the collection drops on September 6, 2024.
