All new CS2 maps entering the game in the latest update

The much-awaited CS2 maps are finally blasted onto the scene on July 26, 2024. Following the advent of these community maps, the community is brimming with excitement as they’ll finally get to experience the allies of Thera, Mills, and other maps on different modes. Over the years, several data miners have discussed the maps’ developments on various social platforms. Hence, it’s evident the players were eager for the update.

This article will list all the new CS2 maps and their respective modes that have been injected by the developers in the latest update.


New CS2 maps introduced in the game

Five community maps have been released in-game. However, players must remember they all don’t belong to the same modes. Maps like Memento and Assembly can only be accessible during wingman mode, while some are exclusive to Competitive.

Here’s a detailed preview of new CS2 maps and their exclusive modes:

  • Thera: Exclusive to Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch
  • Mills: Exclusive to Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch
  • Memento: Exclusive to Wingman
  • Assembly: Exclusive to Wingman
  • Pool Day: Exclusive to Arms Race

Here are a few details of the maps:

  • Thera: Featuring the volcanic island of Santorini, Greece, this 5v5 competitive map was made by popular community map creators FMPone and MF_Kitten.
  • Mills: Based in a small village in the Netherlands, this map is developed by a popular community creator catfood. Apart from Competitive, it's featured in Casual and Deathmatch mode too.
  • Memento: Developed by four community creators, MadsenFK, ynel, TwinN, and g3om, this Wingman-exclusive map features an Italian wedding on the lakeside.
  • Assembly: This Wingman-exclusive map features congested areas, giving an upper hand to SMG and Shotgun players. Developed by four community creators—Almaas, Quoting, Thomas, and Huvaligen—the map resides in a hangar.
  • Pool Day: It’s a classic map from the days of CS1.6. Valve developers have brought back nostalgia among the CS players by injecting this map into the Arms Race mode. Squall was the original creator of the map. Meanwhile, Leplubodespalin remade the whole map in this iteration of the game.
