The new EA FC 25 Player Roles added to the game in the First Frost Update are for the Central Attacking Midfielder (CAM) and Central Defensive Midfielder (CDM) positions. The CAM can now be positioned as a Classic 10, which refers to traditional creative midfielders who provide little to no defensive support. The CDM can now be positioned as a Wide Half.

These maestros serve as the main creative outlet for their team, acting as a fulcrum in attack, and linking together plays with their technical prowess.
