XDefiant Season 3 will introduce three new factions to the game. As mentioned earlier, these are Assassins, Wolves, and Blood Dragon. Here are some details regarding each new faction.
Assassins
The Assassins faction in XDefiant Season 3 comes from the famous Assassin's Creed franchise. This faction combines rigorous training and unorthodox weaponry to dominate the battlefield. Furthermore, they can use their sixth sense to track and destroy their targets.
The Assassins' signature weapon — the Hidden Blade — often featured in games across the franchise, will be a part of this faction's loadout. It is a melee weapon that guarantees one-hit eliminations.
Rebecca Crane, the technical genius is reportedly the head of this faction. She is also the inventor of the Animus 2.0 machine that lets Assassins relive their genetic memories.
Wolves
The Wolves faction in XDefiant Season 3 comes from Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a Ubisoft released in July 2019. This faction consists of rogue ex-special forces operators, who use Skell Tech drones to hide from A.I. abilities and devices.
Their Legion drone ability acts as a homing proximity mine, while their Stolas can essentially be considered a mobile turret. Finally, their ultra, Drone Swarm, can prove to be an effective area denial ability.
Blood Dragon
The third and final faction to be introduced in XDefiant Season 3 is the Blood Dragon. This faction has its roots in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, a title set in the fictional dystopian version of the year 2007.
The Blood Dragon faction consists of cyber commandos from a dark future. Their abilities include throwing Shurikens, Cyberstrength, shock punch, and the Killstar laser that deals massive damage.
These are all the factions that will be released in XDefiant Season 3. Unfortunately, Ubisoft has already commenced the sunset procedure of the game, so new downloads, player registrations, and purchases are no longer available.
The title will officially go offline on June 3, 2025. Although XDefiant fans have petitioned to keep it up and running, Ubisoft's decision appears final as of the time of writing.
