Marvel Rivals Season 1 was released on January 10, 2025. As confirmed by NetEase Games, the brand-new season features four new heroes: the Fantastic Four, i.e., Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. The first two heroes will join the roster as soon as Season 1 launches, while the latter two will be released mid-season.

As mentioned, fans can expect four new characters this season:

- Strategist: Invisible Woman
- Vanguard: The Thing
Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman's gameplays have already been revealed. They will join the Marvel Rivals roster on January 10, 2025, with the release of Season 1. Furthermore, the heroes will come with their respective new costumes in addition to the default ones. Mr. Fantastic The Maker and Invisible Woman Malice skins will be available for fans to purchase.
Invisible Woman
Invisible Woman has some interesting abilities. She's a Strategist with 275 HP who can go invisible for a short period of time and heal with her passive ability, Covert Advance.
Her Primary Fire is known as Orb Projection, an ability that can heal allies and damage enemies. She can also use her Guardian Shield ability to grant healing to one selected ally over time while also blocking damage. Finally, her ultimate, Invisible Boundary lets her select an area within which allies become undetectable and heal over time. Overall, she's a strong Strategist who can be offensively impactful. Her abilities make her rather supportive as well as self-sufficient.
Mr. Fantastic
Mr. Fantastic is the new Duelist joining the roster in Marvel Rivals Season 1. His Primary Fire is the Stretchy Punch where his arms overextend to strike enemies at various distances. His Secondary Fire is rather impressive as it lets you either pull an enemy toward you or knock two enemies into one another sending them airborne.
His Reflexive Rubber ability can absorb damage and launch it back in an intended direction. This can be great when facing the likes of Iron Man or Moon Knight. Finally, his ultimate, Brainiac Bounce, lets him to leap in the air and smash the ground upon landing slowing enemies within range.
Overall his kit is interesting and his passive, Elastic Strength, which can grant him a shield, boosts, and even more damage, makes him an engaging character in Marvel Rivals Season 1.
The full details regarding Human Torch and The Thing have yet to be fully released as the characters are set to be released later on in Marvel Rivals Season 1. However, fans can expect Human Torch to have abilities of flight while The Thing may have a more Hulk-like movement pattern.
