All new Sonata Effects in Wuthering Waves 2.0

The Wuthering Waves 2.0 update has finally been released, and there are five new Sonata Effects that Rovers must know about since they will be crucial when building a character who can use the bonuses more effectively. Each Sonata Effect offers new and amazing buffs, such as Coordinated Attack DMG, Resonance Skill DMG, CRIT Rate, and Energy Regen bonuses.

This article lists all five new Sonata Effects in Wuthering Waves and their set-piece effects.

Wuthering Waves 2.0 Sonata Effects guide

1) Frosty Resolve

Frosty Resolve has the following effects:

• 2pcs Set - Resonance Skill DMG +12%
• 5pcs Set - Casting Resonance Liberation grants 18% Glacio DMG and 18% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus for 5s. This effect stacks up to 2 times.

Frosty Resolve is a new Glacio set for characters who can deal a great amount of DMG from their Resonance Skill, such as Carlotta.

2) Eternal Radiance

Here are Eternal Radiance's effects:

• 2pcs Set - Spectro DMG +10%
• 5pcs Set - Inflicting enemies with Spectro Frazzle increases Crit. Rate by 20% for 15s. Attacking enemies with 10 stacks of Spectro Frazzle grants 15% Spectro DMG Bonus for 15s.

Eternal Radiance is a pretty good set since it provides Spectro DMG and Crit. Rate bonuses. However, the set isn't particularly good for any character as of this writing.

3) Mightnight Veil

The Midnight Veil set provides the following bonuses:

• 2pcs Set - Havoc DMG +10%
• 5pcs Set - Triggering Outro Skill deals additional 480% Havoc DMG to surrounding enemies, and grants the incoming Resonator 15% Havoc DMG Bonus for 15s.

Midnight Veil is a good set for Havoc sub-DPS units like Danjin. The set not only boosts the user's DMG but also allows it to buff the next character to enter the field.

4) Empyrean Anthem

Empyrean Anthem has the following effects:

• 2pcs Set - Energy Regen +10%
• 5pcs Set - Increase the Resonator's Coordinated Attack DMG by 80%. Upon a critical hit of Coordinated Attack, increase the active Resonator's ATK by 20% for 4s.

Empyrean Anthem is the new best set for every sub-DPS character who can perform Coordinated Attacks, such as Yinlin and Zhezhi. Furthermore, this set will allow them to provide more ATK buffs to the active unit.

5) Tidebreaking Courage

Listed below are the effects of the Tidebreaking Courage set:

• 2pcs Set - Energy Regen +10%
• 5pcs Set - Increase the Resonator's ATK by 15%. Reaching 250% Energy Regen increases all Attribute DMG by 30% for the Resonator.

Tidebreak Courage is pretty decent, but no Resonator actually needs it as of this writing. That said, it can be a viable option for Verina since she can use the extra Energy Regen and her kit scales with her ATK.
