With its return set to feature as a rocket league tournament, there will be a total of 16 participating nations in FIFAe World Cup. Fans were wondering what would happen after EA and FIFA split up in 2023 and what the future of the FIFAe World Cup holds. Thanks to Psyonix, who agreed to partner with FIFA and keep the esports tournament alive, fans will now find themselves witnessing a World Cup featuring Rocket League.

To clear out some confusion, the 2023 FIFAe World Cup event was held on the FIFA 23 title, and the 2024 FIFAe World Cup will be a tournament for Rocket League thanks to the partnership with the creators of Rocket League after EA and FIFA's contract expired.

All the participating nations in FIFAe World Cup 2024

On June 23, 2024, FIFA stated that the FIFAe World Cup would return this year with a Rocket League event featuring national teams. On June 27, FIFA also announced that the FIFAe World Cup would include a Football Manager tournament, dubbed the "FIFAe World Cup of Football Manager".

During the RLCS London Major, the announcement was made regarding the participating nations in FIFAe World Cup where Rocket League would be the game in focus.

The list of participating countries is as follows:

  • New Zealand
  • Morocco
  • South Africa
  • United States of America
  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Belgium
  • England
  • France
  • Germany
  • Netherlands
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • Chile
  • Turkey

Requirements to participate in the Domestic Qualifiers

If players want to represent their nation, they need to apply for the Domestic Qualifiers where the eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • All participants must be 16 years or older.
  • You must hold a valid passport from the FIFA Member Association you wish to represent.
  • You should not have played for any other Member Association in previous competitions.
  • You cannot have any outstanding sanctions or bans in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS).
  • Ensure that you are registered on FIFA.GG.

Dates of Domestic Qualifiers and scheduling conflicts

The dates for the Domestic Qualifiers are still being decided by FIFA.GG and it will be based on a chosen format and pertinent parameters. FIFAe association and participating nations in FIFAe World Cup are working closely with Rocket League to avoid scheduling conflicts with other events in the countries.
