The League of Legends Worlds 2024 is set to begin on September 25, 2024, featuring 20 teams vying for victory at the pinnacle of this MOBA's esports scene. The tournament will commence with the Play-In Stage, where six teams from minor regions will join two lower-ranked teams from the LCS and LEC in competition. From this stage, four teams will advance to the Swiss Stage.
The Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany, will host the Play-Ins and Swiss Stages. Transitioning to the Knockout Stage, the event relocates to the Adidas Arena in Paris, France, while the Grand Finals are set to take place at the O2 Arena in London, England.

In the Play-In Stage, eight teams are competing in a double elimination format, engaging in best-of-three series. Crucially, only the top four teams will progress to the Swiss Stage, while the others will be eliminated from the tournament.

The Swiss Stage of the LoL Worlds 2024 features 12 slots, with eight of these filled by teams from the LCK and LPL. Additionally, two leading teams from both the LEC and LCS are also participating in this stage.

Having triumphed at MSI earlier this year, Gen.G has clinched their place at Worlds 2024. In contrast, Hanwha Life Esports ended Gen.G's LCK winning streak and claimed victory in the Summer Split to earn their qualification for Worlds. Additionally, Dplus and T1 have secured their positions through the Regional Finals.
Throughout the year, the LPL scene was thoroughly dominated by Bilibili Gaming, who secured victories in both splits. Following closely behind in terms of LPL Championship Points, Top Esports also qualified.
Significant performances at the LEC Finals and LCS Summer allowed the top two teams from both the LEC and LCS to earn their qualifications.
