Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 is right around the corner, and the CS2 community is beyond excited. This is the first Counter-Strike Major to happen in China and will be hosted at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. The top 24 teams from around the world were chosen as participants after playing multiple rounds of Qualifiers in these regions: Europe, America, and Asia-Pacific.

On that note, this article lists all the teams that have qualified for the CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

All qualified teams for CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024

Of the 24, 16 teams will be playing in the Opening Stage. The remaining eight will play in the Elimination Stage, which is similar to the Legends stage of CS:GO Majors, Earlier, the event organizer Perfect World stated that the top four teams from both Europe RMRs would get a direct invite to the Elimination Stage, which has now been changed.

The teams for both the Open and Elimination Stages are now determined on the basis of Valve Regional Standings.

Elimination Stage teams

Here are the eight teams invited for the Elimination Stage:

Opening Stage teams

Here are the eight teams that are going to play in the Opening Stage:

It is to be noted that the list of qualified teams is subject to change if some unforeseen circumstances such as disqualification or visa issues occur. In that case, if the team is not able to make it, it could be replaced.

Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Prize Pool distribution

The Shanghai Major 2024 features a total prize pool of $1.25 million that will be distributed amongst all the teams in the following manner:

• 1st: $500,000
• 2nd: $170,000
• 3rd-4th: $80,000
• 5th-8th: $40,000
• 9th-16th: $20,000
• 17th-24th: $10,000

This event will be the last S-tier CS tournament of 2024. The tickets for the main event at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center were sold out more than two weeks prior. Considering the hype around this Major, the viewership is likely to be record-breaking for Counter-Strike esports.
