The much-awaited remaster of 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn will be released on October 31, 2024, on the PlayStation 5 and PC. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: how to upgrade and what improvements to expect
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be available for $49.99, which includes the expansion pack. However, those who already own the 2017 version will be able to upgrade to the remaster for a nominal fee of $9.99. This can be done via Steam as well as the PlayStation store.
The remaster is expected to bring a host of improvements and new features to the 2017 version. Announced in the September 2024 State of Play event by Sony, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is expected to receive visual as well as gameplay enhancements. Apart from the 10 hours of re-recorded dialogue, the remaster will also include new places to explore, new skills, weapons, and even machines.
The remaster features enhanced animations and audio experience. Moreover, those who own a PS5 or are planning to buy the PS5 Pro will get to experience the Dual-Sense controller's haptic feedback in this title. The game also provides support for ultra-wide resolutions as well as frame generation technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR.
