All weapon buffs and nerfs in Apex Legends mid-season patch (Season 21)

The new Apex Legends patch notes for the mid-seasonal update went live recently and provided us with a complete list of upcoming weapon changes in Season 21. The developers took note of various community concerns and nerfed the Havoc while strengthening some of the other guns that fell out of the meta and had lower pick rates throughout the first seasonal split.

What are the weapon balance changes in the Apex Legends Season 21 mid-season patch?

It is important to note that all changes will be available in-game after the new update drops on June 25, 2024. That said, here is a list of all the weapon balances arriving in Apex Legends:

G7 Scout

• Body shot damage will be increased to 33 from 32.
• An increase in its rate of fire.
• Recoil has been adjusted to be more consistent when firing at maximum fire rate.

The developers introduced these changes to make the G7 Scout a more competitive choice and make its spot in the Marksman category.

Havoc Rifle

Magazine Sizes will not be smaller.

• No Mag will contain 20 bullets
• White Mag will contain 24 bullets
• Blue Mag will contain 28 bullets
• Purple Mag will contain 32 bullets

The devs recognize the dominant Havoc meta in the game and understand that the weapon contains many rounds per magazine, making it easier to spam and miss shots. This change should raise the skill ceiling required to operate the gun.

Longbow DMR

• The headshot multiplier is increased to 2.25 from 2.15

R-99

• The hip-fire randomness is reduced.

This Sub Machine Gun (SMG) became unreliable and saw a drastic drop in pick rates. This change should bring back its reliability factor without overpowering it.

Rampage LMG

• The vertical shake in ADS while firing the gun is reduced.

Weapon Rarity Sets

Peacekeeper (Blue and Purple)

• Optic updated to 1x HCOG instead of 2x Bruiser

Charge Rifle and Sentinel (Purple)

• Optic updated to 4-8x from 2-4x for Battle Royale modes
• Both guns will retain the 2-4x for Gunrun mode

4-10x Digital Threat Scope

• The highlighted detection will not show enemies through smoke or gas.
