All weapons and their location in Silent Hill 2 

Konami and Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 is finally available to play for Deluxe Digital copy owners. If you have already started the game and are looking for a good weapon, some of the best and their locations are mentioned below.

The game, unlike most modern titles, features a very limited number of weapons. As you enter the eerie town of Silent Hill, you will need these weapons to kill the monsters in your way. If you want to stay prepared for any threat that lunges at you from the shadows, we suggest you get these weapons as early as possible.

All weapons in Silent Hill 2

Silent Hill 2 features only four weapons as of now- a handgun, a shotgun, a hunting rifle, and a chainsaw.

Location of handgun

The default weapon that you will be using in the game is an iron pipe and a wooden plank. However, to get the handgun, look through the Wood Side Apartments carefully to find a note that mentions some gunshots being fired in apartment 217. Once you make your way inside the apartment, check the shopping cart lying in the center of the room to find the handgun.

Location of the hunting rifle

The most powerful weapon of Silent Hill 2, the hunting rifle can be found in the Toluca Prison Armory. The gun will be locked up in the first room itself alongside a note. The note mentions that the key is in the witness checkpoint. To reach here, you will need to go through the headless serpent door. Find your way inside the execution chamber and overload the generator to unlock all the doors inside the prison.

Now, collect the key from the witness chamber and then unlock the hunting rifle using this key.

Location of shotgun

As you progress through the story, you will enter the Brookhaven Hospital. There will be a gun cabinet near the entrance of the hospital. However, this will be empty, indicating that the gun was present there but has now been taken away by someone. To obtain the shotgun, make your way to the second floor. Then, enter the women's locker room and check all the lockers to find a shotgun.

Location of the chainsaw

Once you complete Silent Hill 2, you will be able to unlock the new game plus mode. If you start the game once again, this will unlock another weapon- the chainsaw. As you make your way to Silent Hill for the first time in the game, you can find the chainsaw alongside the road that takes you to the cemetery. Make sure to stay alert while walking down this path, and you will find the chainsaw to your right along with a few wooden logs.
