Apex Legends Astral Anomaly Event is the new milestone event that will offer some new cosmetics for existing characters and weapons. These items will only be available through the event packs and will provide the community with a free reward shop. The in-game shop will also contain some of the cosmetics for a limited time, purchasable using Apex Coins.

The Apex Legends Astral Anomaly Event will be a mid-season update targeted to increase gameplay content. However, these packs can be expensive to collect as there is a very small chance of securing the highest rarity skins. Fortunately, the drops from the event will not be repeated, so you won't get duplicate items.

Apex Legends Astral Anomaly milestone event skins and reward shop explored

The Apex Legends Astral Anomaly Event will feature a set of new cosmetics that can be collected by opening event packs. The packs can be unlocked by using Apex Coins — each containing one event item and two standard drops.

The new milestone event update will also bring back the Launch Royale Limited-Time Mode on all the maps — Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, Olympus, Storm Point, Broken Moon, and E-District. This playlist will be available from January 7, 2025, to January 20, 2025, as confirmed in the official patch notes.

You can purchase these event packs to stand a chance to secure the limited-time items, including the Alter’s “Anarchonaut” and Horizon’s “Dark Horizon” skins. These skins seem to be the highlight of the entire milestone event and bring a complete otherworldly look to both Skirmisher legends.

The event will also bring exclusive character cosmetics like Octane’s “Starlightspeed,” Mad Maggie’s “Heat Death,” Crypto’s “Cosmo Logical,” and Seer’s “Higher Lifeform” skins. Each of these skins costs 1800 Apex Coins as confirmed in the official event blog on the game’s website. Moreover, the event will introduce two new exotic gun skins for the Alternator and Wingman.

You can choose to purchase the event packs and secure a total of 15 different cosmetics in this new milestone update. Similar to the previous event, you will gain additional items while unlocking new items through the milestone. One of the rewards in the event includes 10 Exotic Shards, which can be used to unlock special skins from the store or upgrade pre-owned Artifacts.

A new Reward Shop will also be available with a refreshed set of challenges. By completing these tasks, you can secure “Bytes,” a point system, which can be exchanged to buy items. This exclusive shop will likely be available for around two weeks and provide fans with rewards like an Epic tier Seer skin alongside a Flatline cosmetic of the same tier.
