Apex Legends might receive an in-game monthly subscription-based service in the near future. A recent survey by EA alludes to this potential service that the free-to-play battle royale might integrate. According to several players, EA has started an in-game survey where they asked the players' opinion regarding the implementation of a "monthly subscription".

It will not come as a surprise if Apex integrates this service, as the EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed in the fiscal Q2 earnings report that Apex Legends did not meet the "lift in monetization" that the company had expected. Given the situation, we can expect that EA adding a brand new subscription service in the game might increase user engagement as well.

Read on to learn more about how the subscription service might work in Apex Legends.

How might the new subscription service work in Apex Legends?

While it can't be said with certainty, a report by Insider Gaming has revealed that the subscription service could be similar to Fortnite Crew. For those unaware of Fortnite Crew, it's a monthly subscription service that allows players to earn certain benefits for $11.99 each month.

The service includes in-game cosmetics like operator, weapon skins, V-Bucks, which is the currency in Fortnite, and the ongoing Battle Pass as well. While Apex Legends already has its own Battle Pass and other in-game cosmetics in store, the potential subscription service might bring everything together.

However, EA hasn't officially disclosed anything regarding the service except the survey that was sent to players in the game. So, take this information with a grain of salt, as it might change later.
