Apex Legends News: Abilities leaked for upcoming character Prophet; release date for Octane

Earlier this week it was revealed that data miners had uncovered some information regarding two upcoming characters in Apex Legends. We saw some files associated with abilities for two new members to the roster called Octane and Watson.

Octane seemed to be a support character, possibly giving teammates a speed boost or healing them through an ability called "Stimpack." Watson, on the other hand, had something called a Tesla Trap, possibly meaning that he'd be some kind of trapper.

Today, another character was revealed through some data mining thanks to Gaming INTEL, whose exclusive data miners found out about abilities surrounding someone named Prophet. According to them, there's a file associated with it titled "Precog" assumed to be short for Precognition. In a game like Apex Legends, being able to foresee future events could prove to be quite useful.

While we don't exactly know what Prophet will be capable of, having the ability to see the future could mean that they can tell where certain supply drops may land, where or what loot is available on the map, and more.

Though we don't know when Prophet will be released, it seems that Octane could be coming out very soon. Gaming Intel's data mining earlier this week revealed that he's set to be added to the game, possibly, on week 8 of the game's release. This means that we could see the new character drop between March 25th and April 1st. If not, we'll at least see some upcoming previews for it by then.
