Apex Legends Season 22 is right on the horizon and it’s bringing a plethora of changes for Battle Royale fans to cherish. Among those, a freshly introduced health bar might be the biggest change in-game. Moreover, they’re also introducing a red outline and threat vision to spot enemies faster within a certain distance. With that in mind, this article will shed some light on Apex Legends’ new health bar, red outline, and threat vision features that are about to be introduced in the upcoming Season 22.

Health bar system

As the devs over at Respawn Entertainment have finally introduced the much-awaited health bar system in Apex Legends, it’ll definitely help players regardless of whether they are veterans or newcomers. Earlier, several Apex veterans have showcased their discontent over the visual clutter issue in-game in several social media forums. As a result of this massive outcry, the developers decided to add this feature.

Meanwhile, players must remember that they must damage the enemies to visualize the health bar on them. The best part is that the health bars will get rendered over all sorts of visual clutter including, blood splatter, muzzle flash, and blurry vision regardless of the range.

Earlier, mouse and keyboard players used to have a hard time tracking enemies through visual clutter, whereas controller players had it easy through in-game aim assist. Adding this feature will take away that advantage to an extent. However, there’s a catch to that. If an enemy hides inside Bangalore’s smoke or Caustic’s gas, their health bar won’t be visible.

Red outline feature

Apart from the Health bar system, the developers have also added a red outline feature to keep track of enemies. Players can easily spot an enemy with a red outline if they’re within a 30m range and in the LOS (line of sight).

That said, unlike the health bar system, the outline won’t be rendered on top of visual clutter. Still, it will help players, especially newcomers, shred down enemies within close range.

Threat Vision

This very feature is specifically catered toward Recon Legends like Bloodhound, Crypto, and others to help them track enemies with red outlines beyond 30 meters. Upon ADSing, Recon Legends can spot enemies regardless of the scopes within specific distances (more than 30m) based on the scope. Similar to the red outline feature, enemies need to be in the player’s line of sight for the outline to get detected by the threat vision.

That sums up all the features that’ll help the player base tackle visual clutters and keep track of enemy movements in Apex Legends.
