Apex Legends Rumble is a tournament-style game mode, providing players an avenue to compete for higher stakes and etch their names on the Top 100 Leaderboards. Debuting with Three Strikes matches, Rumble promised a positive solo queue experience, promoting solo entries into the game. Essentially, players cannot queue up for this game in pre-made squads, randomizing the chance of getting in with teammates of unascertained calibers.

While this opened a new avenue for solo players to grind toward, Respawn Entertainment forgot to tweak any matchmaking settings; worse yet, players have found a way to bypass the solo queue system and pair up in teams of nine to dominate lobbies and accrue points.

Popular YouTuber The Gaming Merchant makes a notable observation, stating how the matchmaking influencing these games are the ones used in pubs and not skill-based. This seems counterintuitive to the vision with which Apex Legends Rumble was introduced.

That said, Rumble hasn't been a failure per se. Despite being in Beta, players have enjoyed the concept brought forth by this game mode. With a new leaderboard to grind for, and a mode promoting a competitive series in LTM playlists, players are intrigued to see the final form of Apex Legends Rumble.

Furthermore, like Ranked, Rumble promises many rewards for all its competitors. These rewards are based on players' overall performance and will be delivered at the end of the season based on a player's overall placement on the Rumble leaderboard.

Despite the challenges faced by players with Rumble in Apex Legends Season 20, Respawn Entertainment's vision to create a solo-queue-based competitive playlist showcases their connection and commitment to serving the community's wishes and embracing their criticisms. In its final form, Rumble might be a worthwhile tournament-style competitive playlist contested by most solo players in the game.
